In all fairness, my hotrod '64 Panhead Stroker would eat my MK II Commando alive and even with the OEM 6v electrics, it was extremely reliable.

At 475# wet and 86 Cu In, close ratio gears (Andrews 1st and 3rd) it was no slouch in "the twisties". With a 2" over stock '73 Sportster front end (Showa) and upswept 2 into 1 collector exhaust it had a decent lean angle.

I do think the Norton would edge it out though.

The shirts, what about the rest, all the Harley jewellery and that's just the men, bandanna's, then all the assesories that go with them all, all the crap they hang off the Harley's and then the addititude that goes with it all, no wonder the Harley's are so heavy carrying all that extra weight, they wear the trendy shoes as well trendy HD boots, everything is over priced but really Harley Davidson are smart, sell a new bike then sell everything else so the riders and their women have everything so they look cool as well free advertising to boot and then they all like to be heard, well one good thing about that keeps the cops off my back when out riding.

You are 100% right, Harley doing the same as an Apple company does. First, they sell mobile phones after it spritely sells chargers, iPod, etc.

Years ago my mate bought a really nice brand new Harley
But soon after came the tee shirts and braces, boots, bandana infact every item of clothing!!
He didn't do that when he had a Suzuki?
He also had a jacket with some sort of budgie emblazoned across the back

Seems like they offered racing jerseys in 1912 so right from the beginning. Tried to post photo but it didn’t work for some reason . There is actually a hardcover book on Harley Fashion - no surprise there.
 
Thats the problem in N Z ,

They all wathed the wild One or Whatever , whereas I watched the Triumph P R Clips
that they had at the local movie theartre . Even saw Tarzan dive out of a Tiger Moth into
a lake .
TheEast Coast Bays Beach Road had distinct similarities to the I.o.M. , other parts more
resembled Daytona . ;)

Is this the reson for the current fad in ' Custom Seat - Brown ' .
