It has quite a wide angle lens (well, 2 180deg lens) so objects look much further away than they are.... next time we ride as a group I need to up the resolution so I can zoom in more OR we need to choreograph the ride so we stay within a few metres of each other, but not sure my heart could take that approach :eek:

A. The video is fantastic. Enjoyed a whole mug of morning Joe watching it.
B. Still trying to figure out the 360 degree panoramic shooting. What equipment did you use.
C. The aluminum tank blends so much better with a white bike. It doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
D. Caught a nice glimpse of your speedo hitting 90ish through the meadows. BAMFs.(pardon my Brooklynese)
E. Those bikes look so natural on their home turf.
F. Wish I was there.

Glad you enjoyed it, shame I couldn't get much viewing time of the others in the group, lessons learn't.

So am I, it's a 360deg camera (this one is an Insta360 OneX) on the end of a 20inch stick attached to my rucksack, so it actually captures a full 'globe' around itself and you decide which direction you want to save two-dimension in the edit. The camera's software edits out the stick which is pretty clever but in places you get to see the shadow of the stick. Next time I will extend the stick by another 10inch or so. I can re-edit the whole footage and create a completely different perspective to the one you viewed. Thinking about the technology involved does my brain in!

It's growing on me but at first fit it did look awkward. I will live with it for this season but will explore either adding some paint to the tank or, my preferred option, to knock up some aluminium 'false' side covers and ally tail end.... we shall see. Think I need a larger tank protector though as the thigh area of my riding jeans were burnished with aluminium which is going to take a bit of a scrub to remove lol

You are seeing things, we didn't go 1mph over 60 at anytime, honest officer!

The grass is always greener elsewhere, think I would quite enjoy riding mine out in California :)

Very cool software indeed that edits out the stick.
I was scratching my head for a while wondering who was shooting the damn video, a tiny midget hanging off the bike, WTF?

How about, chrome paint finish for dart screen, and front fender too.
Clean and polished you'll look like a meteor flying at ground level on a sunny day.

Nah, leave the sexy carbon alone, but paint the airbox and seat hump in the chrome effect paint that Norton use on the V4.

It’d look like the whole thing was carved out of a solid alloy billet !!

Marks against the idea though, he prefers the idea of riveting on a few sheets of alloy bent over his knee instead ;)
 
Great video Mark - it really is an impressive camera/software combo - just need a bit of fine tuning but tremendous first effort

You may well jest but my right knee is made from Titanium on a CF shaft, you would be surprised what I can bend over it, it's like having a mobile workbench lol
 
after our nice lunchtime chat at the pub, and comments by non-961 owner about amount of engine noise relative to old Commando,perhaps we should coin a new term, so instead of going for a blat, a clat?!
 
The Monkey bike guys were older than me!

They told me about one of their gang who had spent £15,000 on his... yes, you read that correctly, fifteen thousand pounds spent on modifications...

I'll use that next time my Missus complains about some expensive Norton part arriving by post...!
 
Would need to drop Colin an email to see if we are welcome, but it is an open day.

I have a knee op on the 10th May, if I can bend it, I will try and get there
