New model to be launched before Christmas

Hmmmmmm, before Christmas?
Wonder if they mean November 2, and 3 at NEC Birmingham?
If it is the NEW 961, I hope they define exactly/technically what "NEW" means.
Still wondering why TVS/Norton only showed an overhead view of the NEW 961.
Would a profile view give away a surprise change to the NEW 961?

Guess Norton are not going to mention it informally at the BikeShed and not formally at the NEC - if it is to be released this year. So the bike will almost certainly be at the NEC.

The ‘new‘ 961? NEC’s a bit too far for me I’m afraid - who‘s going to take a good look and ask the technical/pointed questions? Difficult to dodge or use veiled language when face to face with a hairy biker wearing a Norton tattoo on his forearm!

Well, maybe that's the problem, we should be sending scantily clad young ladies to pump the reps for info.
Bet we'd get a much better result.:p

I'm fairly certain that if you sent a scantily clad @Stephen_Spencer to "pump the reps for info" they would tell him quick smart........
I’d certainly give it a go if I were in the UK Gj, but the best we can hope for is one of our UK based lads wearing some lippy and a toutou!! Maybe pleading for information would work!

Good news which ever way you look at it. Great if it’s the new 961; that moves our quest for spares forward and hastens a bit of clarity around the technical differences.

No it’s bloody not, and they’ve been masters of this under SG and TVS for many years.

SG & SS were masters of spin and bare faced lying, TVS are master politicians… great at using lots of words to say nothing !

Seriously, everyone there will be very well rehearsed with regards to what they can, and cannot, say.

Let’s just hope that what they can say, is good!

Well I will be going to the NEC and I have plenty of time to right down the obvious questions about the 961. We have ways of making them talk ie finger press or a good head lock if that fails I’ll send in the wife.

Don’t think we need to worry too much about what things were like under SG. Let’s see whether TVS become more open with their communication now they are to start manufacturing and opening fully for business. Of course there will have boundaries for communication on the stand at such an event, especially at this juncture for Norton. No doubt the bike press will be sniffing around for information.

What exactly do we think Norton Birmingham/TVS are seeking to hide, and why?

Good question, and one I can’t answer.

But take a few steps back out of the weeds and look, we’re nearly 3 years into this now, with many promised deadlines missed, without explanation.

So as to what is to hide, or even what is going on, I have no idea.

But, it’s quite obvious that things are not quite ‘right’. Big companies do not miss so many milestones / deadlines when things are ‘right’ !

I sincerely hope they get their shit together, and soon… If they don’t come up with something good at the NEC it will be properly embarrassing…

The Interim CEO John Russell, in his short time as CEO, gave out more info than Dr. Robert Hentschel.
