need info on TTI gearbox

They are expensive but so is just about anything else in terms of modern stuff. You bite the bullet once, hard, but over time it is an issue totally removed from the table. Not only does it last but it is better all around as FE notes. I have even lost the will to take the cover off and polish it out.
 
Just back from track. After three days fighting now only problems with 4th and 5th. 4th usually goes in at second try. 5th sometimes goes in before it's time to brake. 300 meters fighting. Winter job to find out what TTI has made wrong. Of all bikes I've ever had, the TTI is the worst to shift. Even the Norton dolls head works better. Never had any problem with AMC boxes, a number of BSAs, Burman and Velocette + some other bikes.

Just reading your post, I have same issues with a tti in a commando.
Just bought the bike, worst gearbox I have ever used.
There must be an issue internally. Did you sort yours?.
