Looking good 👍

Love the mags. And the exhaust will double as a bum warmer on cold weather rides

Get some good ear plugs. Those pipes will be loud unless your ass is 4 feet wide.

Obligatory useless unsolicited advice section:
If there is room, you coulda brought them together in a collector, run the exit out of the collector in 2" pipe then fab up a 4" long 1.75" wide oblong exit centered and about an inch under the taillight. Might end up being a bear to tune, but it could be done. It too would be loud but look kind of cool on a Norton. I'll crawl back in my cave now.

My ass is narrow, if you need to know! The exhaust is usable but waiting for seat to finalize. You idea is good but won't know clearance between tire and seat, till seat is on. Finished timing cover, I'm not afraid of the "Green " monster , Kawasaki green!

My memory is fleeting. Does that engine in the foreground have the MAP Cycle long rods and pistons in it?

Due to the extreem peer pressure of this form, I have begun to use Ti for engine bolts. My son had round stock from his Formula car days! I found it easy to machine a stud and use hardened flange nuts. (Ti came from Timet USA made from raw ore in Morgantown PA.) Pics show weight differences, the decimal point is off when you go to grams by one digit. Actually killing time still waiting on seat that should be delivered this week?!?!?

That Ti piece calculates at 70% of the steel bolt weight.
Strange, I've read that Ti is around 50% of steel weight. That's probably the internet getting it wrong again!
There are several sources that claim 50% however the Engineering toolbox lists it at about 60%.
I have some Ti here, will compare like for like.

Glen

it does have a steel nut threaded onto it, may explain the difference.
Steel is around .2833 per cubic incj, TI 6al-4v is .1615, so about 57%.

This week' s work -- Cut gas tank to fit, not original, had to move rearward for the oil fill. New tank mount, things getting crowded. Welds will be cleaned up and completed when engine removed and ready for powder coat. Billet oil block, most aftermarket go out the top I need out the bottom. Seat to be here this week.

When you machine Ti, it flows and grows slightly. So it is sometimes difficult to get the nuts to fit properly. My engine bolts were out of shelf life items - spare parts for the F/A 18. I took them to a machine shop which did a lot of Ti machining. I think they simply ran the threads down further with a die, them shortened them in a lathe. But the two studs which hold my TTI box, were a different kettle of fish. The threads are much coarser and bigger - we machined the threads in a late - talking several cuts and trying the nuts on the threads. Each time a cut was taken the result was always less than expected - we took several cuts until the nuts fitted.

Seat arrived Saturday! It is the seat I chose but will need modified for me. Figured how to finish exhaust. Maybe I'll put a baffle in it, not! The last pics is with the shock unbolted and lowered the three inches of travel.

I’m not so sure…

Slick refers to oil slick… oil is black…

Sounds like you’re being racist bigots to me…

(And just for clarity, I’m not being serious, just trying to point out the ridiculous lengths that some people do go to today in order to be offended)

Is this a bit like Welsh rugby fans getting so fired up singing "Delilah" that they go home after the match and commit domestic violence?

I should have said Cool, but I think I've already said that about Gene's project several times.

I'd like to apologize to all the dirty used black oil out there.

Could have been worse. I could have said Bitchin'
