I'm sure some of you out there in Norton Land have either bought or at least investigated these things: https://www.carcoon.com.au
Motorcycle Protection - Carcoon or similar

Living beside the sea in tropical Queensland (Oz) corrosion is a part of life.
I was wondering if these type of things are worthwhile in trying to slow down the rot?

Any views on this (other than the expected derision, that is!)?
Cheers
Rob

A bike in a bubble, that probaly be ok if its for show and tell be unpractable if its ridden all the time, a old friend of my dad has 2 old 42 Harlies in his shed that he use to ride in his younger days, they have been covered with canvas tarps for over 25 years now he want to much money for them but it would cost to much to restore them now as the corrosion has got into them, his old WW2 BSAs are in better condition from just sitting uncovered in the shed, like you Rob we live close to the water the beach front is only a short walk away.
Its a shame his Harlies have gone this way as I can remember him riding his white one when I was a kid, he is very old now and his kids have no interest in his collection but he wants to much for them in the condition they are in.

Needs some UV resistance as well as weather protection. The sun can be hell on rubber parts and finishes.
