In light of one not being forthcoming, here’s one I prepared earlier.... 5 years earlierI'm personally holding out for the dyno video. There is a dyno video, right??!?!?!?

Unfortunately due to health and efficiency regulations we have to stand at least 2 miles away in an ex cold war bunker with ear defenders and buckets on our heads. Now they know me I will try next time but it will need a decent microphone. They have an offer now so anyone with an ACU racing license can get a dyno run for £25I'm personally holding out for the dyno video. There is a dyno video, right??!?!?!?
Shame once you become a regular customer thoughUnfortunately due to health and efficiency regulations we have to stand at least 2 miles away in an ex cold war bunker with ear defenders and buckets on our heads. Which Kaw ? ZX6R ?Unfortunately due to health and efficiency regulations we have to stand at least 2 miles away in an ex cold war bunker with ear defenders and buckets on our heads. BTW Tony my longs were made with the first section plain tube instead of perforated so I'd like to think the flow might be slightly better. I have to admit that when I was working on the bike with the longs off I did rather like the look of it. I am beginning to appreciate the look of race bikes more and have always liked the look of the welded meggas. Perhaps adapt some cheap shorties and see what effect they have?
Maybe I have been blinded by the tawdry shinyness of the longs and Nigel's perverted obsession with the stumpy excrescences he laughingly calls exhausts is the true path of exhaustion. Did I mention I just bought a K*w*s*ki which has all the audible charm of a sewing machine wrapped in a duvet?
A very clean UK spec zxr400l - I can use it in our ClassicRacingMotorcycleClub races; very inexpensive and less chance of doing me or the bike much damage. If I was going for something quicker I would probably go for a Triumph Daytona 675R but an altogether different proposition. It'll be fun to play with!Which Kaw ? ZX6R ?
The Kaw 400 Ninja was rated above the KTM 390 R in an article I read recently.A very clean UK spec zxr400l - I can use it in our ClassicRacingMotorcycleClub races; very inexpensive and less chance of doing me or the bike much damage. Must be a global thing? Dyno shops and hairdressers - other than odd slots in the evening they are booked up for weeks here.I just got word from the Dyno shop that they have me scheduled for the last two weeks in June !
Yup my first upgrade was a bit conservative so we'll see. Just a bit worried about how accurate they will be - hoping that as this is a popular upgrade the low cost is just from economies of scale and not poor quality manufacturing which is why I'm looking at a test rig. Something to push onto the top - maybe a s/h bar with regulator and a s/h fuel pump. Then a measuring beaker and a fire extinguisher!I'll be interested in how the bigger injectors go.
When i bought my Bosch ones they were labelled for a 6.0 litre V8, so 750cc a cylinder and probably a similar red line to the 961. They should have capacity in reserve in that case?
What? Did you not play the 'don't you know who I am?' card?I just got word from the Dyno shop that they have me scheduled for the last two weeks in June !
Not sure you'll find a norton rail, but I'd be looking at getting something like this:Yup my first upgrade was a bit conservative so we'll see. Hmm couldn't find anything at a decent price immediately so might just fabricate a little jig with my compressor pressurising a container of petrol at 3 bar. Just about to buy an oil catch tank for the car like I fitted to the Norton so could borrow that.!...oh and you'll need a stop watch and switch to time how long the injector is open for!
Yea, there wasn’t much on eBay at a reasonable price. If you can keep the pressure at the injector constant, that’s all you need!Hmm couldn't find anything at a decent price immediately so might just fabricate a little jig with my compressor pressurising a container of petrol at 3 bar. How did you get on Tony? @Clive how is the injector project working for you?I just got word from the Dyno shop that they have me scheduled for the last two weeks in June !
Yes everything is running good , but I have made no more progress. I am still waiting for dyno time , if you can believe it ! Where its at now , I have the DynoJet PCV installed but no map loaded to it. There has been an improvement in my view with the inlet upgrade , so no question HP is up . The beauty of all this is once I have a map developed , any 961 with the inlet upgrade and a DynoJet #12-009 (BMW F800) PCV can use it (within reason understanding I started from Race Cans Map Delta 400) . Also , I am satisfied with the final setup of crankcase breather , air box temp sensor and tire spray issues . Meaning , I could leave it all like this permanently and use the motorcycle normally long trips and rain as well .How did you get on Tony? @Clive how is the injector project working for you?
