I've been using flat rate usps boxes, medium is $14 USA. Small is $5, can't go wrong. Sellers are crazy.

Yeah, that's what I told him. I'm not paying $25 shipping.. He can keep his crap if he thinks that's happening.

So.. I bought some replacement z-plates/footpeg assemblies on eBay tonight. Too bad the seller is insane (IMO) with regard to how much he's expecting for shipping...

$25 to ship that? really? It's two z-plates, both left and right footpegs, and the foot brake. Maybe I'm just a big whiner, but I think anything over $13 would be excessive.

eBay is a joke. Truly.

Shipping is listed as $18 on one, $15 on the other...that adds up to $33 in my world.

Don't be a dick...thank him for cutting you a deal on the shipping and pay for your parts.

Lmao. "cutting me a deal"? Oh, please.

I'm sorry that I don't think it's fair to pay almost DOUBLE what would be fair just so he can pad the bottom line. I've sold my fair share on eBay and I agree that several of the policies are just atrocious. That being said, I don't attempt to make up for things by grossly overcharging for shipping. That's bad business as far as I'm concerned.

I shipped a seat to NY for under $17 via UPS. There's no way in hell these parts should cost $8 more coming from Massachussets. If it makes me a dick to refuse to fold to outrageous shipping costs, then so be it. I'll spend my money elsewhere, where people/companies actually value treating customers worth a sh1t.

I sold my chrome timing cover this morning, Medium flat rate was $10.95. I always try to combine shipping when I sell. If people ask for it. If they just pay for it, it's on them.

This whole purchase reeks. I'll shop elsewhere. Ridiculous.

Maybe it costs him $10 to drive to the post office. It's called shipping AND handling for a reason.

He gave me the whole gas spiel already, saying this purchase was already responsible for two 16-mile round trips (why would he be driving my package around when I haven't even paid?!). Sounds like a bunch of excuses to squeeze as much as he can out of his customers. Screw it, he can cancel the auction to recoup fees and he can find another sucker.

Did he state the shipping cost prior to your bids?

I found them with a few minutes to go. One was $18 shipping and one was $15 shipping. My fault for assuming I'd actually get a fair shake on combined shipping. Hopefully I learned something for next time.

Not sure how it works in the US maybe it’s different, but in Scotland the deal is done at the point of purchase. You agreed at the point of purchase to shipping at $18 & $15 its all part of the deal, if you were not happy with this maybe you should have mentioned it before you agreed to buy? As Builder said “Shipping is listed as $18 on one, $15 on the other...that adds up to $33 in my world.

Don't be a dick...thank him for cutting you a deal on the shipping and pay for your parts.”

There speaks a man of integrity 8)

Buy in haste, repent at leisure. Best advice I got was be happy with the final cost before you sign ‘cose after that your just whinging!

Guess I'm just a whiner. /shrug

I try to not make money on shipping when I sell things, but maybe that's a poor business model. Idk. :/

So let me get it straight shipping was listed, you agree to it and buy it, and now you do not want to pay.........So he lists terms and you agree and change your mind to save 13 bucks or whatever it is.......Not sure how that says anything about him, I would look in the mirror.

Think of all the spray paint that money you save on shipping will buy, maybe you can spray the entire bike balck versus just the motor. High quality work.....

Jordan, he has two posts and a hideous choppa his comments hold no value.

The bazillion inches of rake and all that chrome are soooooooo awesome. I'm green with envy.

Hey, we all have our own tastes and opinions and that's fine. I don't like his bike and he apparently doesn't like mine. Apparently I'm also a terrible person because I expect to not be gouged on shipping when I buy things. Oh well. It is what it is.

06-1228 R. z plate $30.00. 06-0944 L. z plate $30.00. 06-3118 R. foot mount $90.00. 06-1054 L. brake pedal $60.00. 06-3117 R. foot mount $60.00. 06-2734 foot peg $2.35. = $272.35 These are all used from a vary reputable dealer.I get no joy from shipping eather.

I guess I'm just a stubborn jackass. I had no problem with the $45 purchase price, I just assumed the guy wouldn't take the screws to me on shipping. That's my own fault for assuming. The $70 shipped price wasn't terrible, it was just the principle of the thing.

Next time, in this situation, with just a few minutes remaining in the auction (so not enough to clarify with the seller), I'll just pass. What a royal hassle.

-Jordan

Problem is Jordon you DID agree to his terms by bidding and winning. You said yourself you saw his terms. By "being a dick" and not paying for it now you lost him a sale and and like it or not you are being dishounest and Ebay gets a bad rep. Not from a seller who clearly stated his terms but from a flake buyer! Pay the guy, it's your responability like it or not. If you don't & he explains why in your feed back, I would never do biz with some one like you.

He didn't tell any terms with regard to winning multiple auctions. I assumed incorrectly--that's on me. He already canceled the auctions, received his fees back, and relisted the auctions. Good for him. He's out nothing because I outbid no one at the last second and he got his fees back. I don't feel I'm in the wrong here, but that's just my opinion. It doesn't really make much difference either way.

-Jordan

Well all's well that ends well I guess. And yes I would sort of expect him to combine the shipping. But some just won't & I have had to suck it up & pay because I forgot to ask first. Whatever, no big deal.
