I'm trying to find out about the finned oil feed only

Mine similar to the madas ones in this link but as you can see the ones I have have to be used with the oval inner plates to stop the rocker spindles revolving
Getting closer 👍

It's the oil feed pipe only that I'm interested in👍👍

Damn you guys are gluttons for punishment. Good luck with the oil feed to those spindle covers.

One of the P11 owners (junglebiker) installed something similar if not the same as those finned things on a nice 750 engine build. He might have some clues.

someone above said they have on a 810 dunstall head

this dunstall parts pg19 shows a - finned rocker feed - but for a triumph

tons out there for triumph, seen some bsa
-----------------------------------

hobot above mentions - Sir Eddie in Orgeon selling them to finance
land speed super hi reving Norton 500 twin,

with above
One piece R & L rocker spindle covers-
oil feed cooling design that matches his other machined covers.
Provided special SS dual vent banjo bolt fittings to run oil
gauge from.

-------------------------

also
Dunstal type (finned cover) matched the rocker box covers
Chris

this too
I have two one piece finned rockers plates that come from Dunstall 810 big valves head.
These one pieces have only the four end plate screws and not the oilfeed banjo bolt in the center.
The oil from timing arrive to one hose (instead of the stock feed) and goes to the rockers not trough the stock head oil lines but trough the rocker spindles.

havent seen any pix of the norton dustall type, or from 'Sir Eddie'

" I hope the oil doesn’t get cooled so much it freezes in that thing ! "

With all that cooling you could use the fins to duct the air into the carb intakes like on a " ram air " system, the cooled air would make more power thus allowing the engine to make more heat thus preventing oil freezing ---- the only downside is you'd need to ride it like you stole it.

Very 60s, Ace Cafe, mod basher mate !

What is it 500,600,650? And what yer gonna do with it ?
It's 67 atlas 750 engine it was in a really hot cafe racer built by Jeff Hoult (ex AMC) but the new owner wanted a Triton
So this engine was pulled out
I'm planning to put it in the commando chop I bought last because I want to use the 920 engine in my commando
The chop has no ISOs and I think the atlas would be better suited to it
I'll remake the engine plates to run the entire upright
Well that's the plan
Of course if a featherbed rolling chassis should turn up a reasonable money it could all change 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Depending on the spec of both motors you might be better off leaving the 920 motor in the chop and fitting the 750 in the Commando …

dunno any details on the finned rocker oil feed cover here

hobot sez
(My Ms Peel mock up with the identical mate to Bruce's who got his from hobot.)

There's nowt wrong with the 750 engine in my commando
I just fancy trying the 920
Plus I can run the atlas motor on a k2f mag

Finned rocker oil feed

That oil feed looks similar to mine
Shame that hobot never got that bike finished

Oil feed to the spindles is on top of an Atlas head so you could eliminate the brass tubes entirely. Oil would still go into the finned cover although it might not be doing a lot.
