I'm trying to find out about the finned oil feed onlyHi
I have 2 different designs
RGM type is very modern
Dunstal type matched the rocker box covers
Should think fairspares would have it in stock.
all the best Chris
There are two more finned covers available, one more crude
cast with less and thicker rounded profile fins
and a custom set by Sir Eddie in Orgeon selling them to finance
land speed super hi reving Norton 500 twin,
that make the finned one shown above seem like a lunch
break job that was never finished.
I've asked for photo's of Sir Eddies items or will photo
Ms Peels if interested. They are pricey compared but
then best delights are in the fine details.
hobot - too weak to deny Peel anything she wants, when
I can cover the costs.
OH yeah, I helped advise Sir Ed in his brain/spine deer strike
recovery - vetigo, passing out, choking to swallow, breath shortness,
so he traded me a really super duper one of a kind creation of his.
One piece R & L rocker spindle covers-
oil feed cooling design that matches his other machined covers.
Provided special SS dual vent banjo bolt fittings to run oil
gauge from.
Stored from insects, climate and pack rat teeth and urine in sealed
tins till ready to fly.
Peel's rocker spindles are drilled thru so cooling oil feeds in one
side and flows to the other, no external cross over...
Baz, just so you don't have to keep beating your head against the wall trying to find info on them, I'll buy them. PM me if you want to sell.I'm trying to find out about the finned oil feed only
Mine similar to the madas ones in this link but as you can see the ones I have have to be used with the oval inner plates to stop the rocker spindles revolvingHi.
I have two one piece finned rockers plates that come from Dunstall 810 big valves head.
These one pieces have only the four end plate screws and not the oilfeed banjo bolt in the center.
The oil from timing arrive to one hose (instead of the stock feed) and goes to the rockers not trough the stock head oil lines but trough the rocker spindles.
The question is if such one piece rockers plate works well or is better to come back to the stock one.
More, they need gasket or sealant to mount well?.
Thanks.
Pieto

It's 67 atlas 750 engine it was in a really hot cafe racer built by Jeff Hoult (ex AMC) but the new owner wanted a TritonVery 60s, Ace Cafe, mod basher mate !
What is it 500,600,650? And what yer gonna do with it ?
Depending on the spec of both motors you might be better off leaving the 920 motor in the chop and fitting the 750 in the Commando …It's 67 atlas 750 engine it was in a really hot cafe racer built by Jeff Hoult (ex AMC) but the new owner wanted a Triton
So this engine was pulled out
I'm planning to put it in the commando chop I bought last because I want to use the 920 engine in my commando
The chop has no ISOs and I think the atlas would be better suited to it
I'll remake the engine plates to run the entire upright
Well that's the plan
Of course if a featherbed rolling chassis should turn up a reasonable money it could all change
There's nowt wrong with the 750 engine in my commandoDepending on the spec of both motors you might be better off leaving the 920 motor in the chop and fitting the 750 in the Commando …
That oil feed looks similar to minedunno any details on the finned rocker oil feed cover here
hobot sez
(My Ms Peel mock up with the identical mate to Bruce's who got his from hobot.)
Here's some background. There's a fully tested upgraded later model adj belt Drouin available now from Bruce McGregor on this forum - its the one shown kick starting in video. Tom Drouin in cohoots financially with TC Christensen brought forth about 5 versions most mean for all the popular American, British and Japan 750+cc of the era. They got a bad reputation for holding belts on, burning bearings and killing pilots with Lake Injector slide sucked tight to stick way open boosting them to their end.
