Hello all. New to Nortons but not to vintage bikes. Owned them since they were new!
An old trick used on Ducati exhaust nuts is to tighten as you would, then deliver a few blows on the pipe with a rubber mallet, as if you weredriving the head pipe into the thead. Then tighten the nut again, leaving your 4 foot breaker arm in the tool kit. In 40 years of using this method, I have NEVER had an exhaust nut come loose. Oh, and don't whack the pipe while it is hot, this can be messy!
