EV drawbacks

A colleague of mine picked up a very expensive, brand new Mercedes EV two weeks ago.

Last week we got a call from a client requiring him to visit a factory in Scotland soon.

After spending several hours researching this, he concluded he needs to hire a car for the trip as the charging infrastructure makes the journey very challenging in his new, expensive, shiny, EV !!

I absolutely pissed myself.

As you can imagine, he hasn’t heard the last of this. We need a new and suitably derogatory nick name for him. Any suggestions ?
Wot's his christian name?

A little omega, 1-1/4" (or close size/color of script) added to the vehicle model designation on the boot would likely go unnoticed...

2Watt - one interpretation being low power or a bit dim. Other interpretations are available.

(is/was my sisters name for her ex-husband)

Your pal needs this trailer for the generator he is now required to buy.
The fuel stations along the travel route are to fuel up the generator to charge the E. POJ and keep it rolling forward.

UK discovering reality. Renewables non operational 75+ % of the time mean natural gas the main generation option. No surprise; “net zero” means net zero economic growth.

Oh no!

You mean that we’ve got overcast weather and no wind… and it turns out that our solar and wind power do next to nowt on days like this.

Blimey, what a staggering scientific discovery eh ?!?

Still I see no reason to debate. We just have to agree that folk with EVs don’t go anywhere at times like this and that folk don’t run their heating. It’s only -3c after all…

This is the German solution to the Grid not working in cold dark windless weather.

So as not to restrict the EV car and Heat pump installations in line with the Grid capacity the Power providers in case of lack of generating capacity are to be allowed to cut off EV chargers and Heat pumps but leave the rest of house with electricity. So you can now install your EV charger and your Heat pump regardless of the grids capacity to supply.

Once the disconnections start I expect the installations will stall.

Sorry boss, can’t make it in today, the electricity company disconnected my charger…

This should be of interest to the masses drunk on magic Kool-Aid.
"Self-balancing electric motorcycle"

(To be clear, this is click-bait propaganda, on a former motorcycle enthusiast site, now a Vertikal Skope marketing tool)
