Does anyone know what will come of the administration process and will anyone step in ?
Just done the 1st service on my 961, no big surprises, a few bits in the eng. oil strainer & on the trans. plug, no big deal. Couldn't get a Bosch filter but the Mann equiv. less but deeper folds, no worries. Switched to Castrol while I was on, all good. For Al SG'gs faults, at least we have crackin' bikes out of the shambles!Wow.
Credit where it’s due, SG has pulled a master stroke.
He’s clearly a clever bloke, just a pity he put it all into being a bloody crook.

Long Answer
The Administrators and their bosses The Metro Bank have been left with huge debts and little in the way of assets, the Trademarks for all but the UK are owned by Norton America LLC which is owned by SG. As Norton America LLC is registered in the US then a legal action would have be taken by the UK Metro Bank in the US, the grounds for the action would be dubious and cross jurisdiction court cases are fraught with difficulty.
Short answer
Nothing will happen as there is nothing to sell. So expect no phoenix.
The intellectual property , the established supply chain , An established design of which many have been made ? This is more than nothing .
Bosch Injectors arrived, chalk n cheese to the units fitted originally to the bike, definitely knockoffs, look so cheap compared to these Bosch ones.
I ordered a TPS off a Harley distributor with a part number I acquired off the forum only to find it worked in the opposite rotation (27629-01A). Replaced with one from Norton. Replacing all sensors as and when next are the O 2 sensors does any body have the correct part number.Visually, the accelerator position sensor is the same as that of my Guzzi Griso
...idle's great (AIC disabled cause it sucks)
How did you disable the AIC.
Did you have your ECU unlocked by SCS?
It could be asked to be proven that these transactions were legal, check the legislation here and in the US, the company own the IP, for it to move to Garner himself then there needs to be a record of it moving from the company to him, which both Norton America and NMUK Ltd would need records to prove it. Sadly BDO don't have a clue around IP, or much else it seems. If challenged Garner would need prove it was his personally to actually sell / licence out, and not the company he owns / owned. TM and IP come under the same legislation but movements of each need to be recorded separately.SG sold the design of the 961 plus all the rights to manufacture a few weeks before the crash to a Chinese company. That left the 650 and the 1200, the 650 was already a joint venture with a Chinese company. So even less left over and no doubt the remaining rights such as the 1200 live with Norton America LLC leaving exactly Zero.
I had always wondered why I was clocking up the miles on my 2017 CR with no performance or idling issues yet other lower mileage bikes were suffering. I assumed that all the parts fitted would be the same (ie bought in bulk in large quantities) and working almost 100% reliably for several years. I'd hear complaints of non Bosch parts but when I looked all mine seemed legit. I even asked Skinner directly and he denied it with 'why should we save a few quid on an expensive bike?'. This random mixture of real/fake parts would rather explain it. Lots of chat about Garner, wonder how Skinner fitted into all this as he was responsible for the engineering.
