Ah yes, I forgot Morris. Are they what Triumph fitted to some of the later T140's ?

That blue bike wasnt a good ad for Norman, hard to start and backfired up the road ???

To me the rear brake looks way over powerful. One panic dab on that in the damp and you'll be a passenger to who knows where.

Yes, the single ribs gives it away. Letters have two ribs per spoke.
Then I guess Lesters are nearer to the original form of the PW "Wheelbarrow" wheels. I do seem to remember that in the dim and distant one of those brands used to suffer from some serious metal fatigue though. Anyway, that's off subject.

Both Lester and Morris were fitted to late T140s Cliffa. The T140D had Lester wheels as standard, then later on Morris wheels were offered as an optional extra, they were a popular fitment on the TSS.

I’d never thought about it before but yes, you’re right, the Lesters are more similar in appearance to Wagon Wheels !

Did someone mention TSS?

ooooOOOOOOO that's nice! Is it yours?

Unfortunately not, it belongs to the widow of my late best mate. It's not been ridden for a good while which is a shame. It did previously belong to someone on here though and, hopefully one day, will again.

Also in storage alongside the unused TSS is an absolute mint 1962 650SS....sigh!

Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that (about your friend I mean).

The bike is a real beauty though and deserves to be ridden and cherished.
