That would be fine if you had an Italian frame.

But hey, I have Italian brakes and master cylinders with Canadian levers, so who am I to talk.

Two large zip ties on my Shorai. Adhesive backed foam on the side and bottom of the battery tray. Kind of trashy but I needed to keep the angels from getting jealous.
 
I made one out of an old mountain bike inner tube once, but now have a mesh cargo strap. I'm really liking this velcro idea!
 
When I first used Velcro many years ago it seemed like a few people thought it wouldn’t work. Glad to see that’s changed.

I’m surprised at the number of people who use zip ties, although if you use the releasable kind it should work just fine.

Been single digits in the am here in NZ these past few days, and we are still on lockdown. Single digits in C tho mind you.
 
here is mine- nothing fancy - aluminum angle with two flats filed on it perpendicular to two brass rods that replace the lame rubber bands . rods have hooks forged on bottom ends to engage holes formerly occupied by the bottom fixture on the rubber bands and the tops threaded for wing nuts .
