I can remember as a 10 year old at school in 1970 being told by the teachers that oil was running out
We had 30 years maximum left etc etc

What happened to the new ice age ?
That is what the scientists were spewing in the Late 60's early 70's They were wrong then and they are just as wrong now. This has nothing to do with CO2 or rising temperatures.... it is about people control. The science is settled, so they tell you. The sky is falling, so says the CBC. buk, buk buk.... over and over again on the tv and radio , like a broken record. Joseph Goebbels would be proud of these useful idiots.
Give up your freedoms to save the planet. This blue marble planet, Not for you and me but for klaus schwab and his minions. You know the ones who fly their private jets to Davos. Unelected evil Den of Vipers! They don't want you to travel but do as they say, not as they do. These reptiles tell you, "You will own nothing and be happy" and now have that chip installed in your head so you can't have wrong think.
Three parts but worth the hour.

edit: some how? this youtube link doesn't connect.
Try this route:

It also boils down what is shoved in the young ones heads at school these days it's not just learning the basics it pumped in their heads we need to save the planet, it's OK to be gay or you been put in the wrong body + all the perpressures from their friends to look their best, a young school teacher lives next door to me and is just started her 2nd year of teaching she has all the climate change stickers on the back of her car and sign on her front verandah so what she been telling her students at school, who knows but school kids aren't learning what we use to learn these days everything that shouldn't be learnt at school is getting thrown at them, no wonder kids today are so messed up and phones in their hands instead of running around and keeping fit, madness everywhere, sad really.
Call me old school but really we had the best times of our lives growing up walk to school without some sicko trying to get you in their car, stay inside where it's safe don't want the sky to fall on you, I feel sorry for the young ones today not knowing it's OK to get your hands dirty, wrap them up in bubble wrap, don't breath or you get sick, WTF is going on.

I believe Mother Nature can and has been harmed by man, and this harm can be (partially) addressed by our actions thereafter. Science (if you believe it) tells us that the partial/steady regeneration of the ozone layer above the Antarctic has resulted from the ban of ozone depleting chemicals introduced back in 1987 (Montreal Protocol) - as pointed out by NPN above - although other ozone holes have fluctuated. Direct intervention with Mother Nature to address a climate concern some would say.

A usually optimistic person, I am however sceptical about the likelihood of reaching climate targets. China and India are amongst the worlds biggest polluters, but also have a large proportion of their populations that remain in poverty. These developing countries are unlikely to take climate action that may maintain (or drive up) poverty levels, in order to have a positive effect on the climate. Where do we stand without their full contribution.

Agreed that the worlds dictators pose the most immediate/direct threat to peace and stability, but in my opinion the indirect threat of mis/disinformation in our normal daily discourse is of much greater concern in the long term.

Its called indoctrination and it leads to nothing good. They removed critical thinking in schools.
they are dumbing us down.

we have no say in that at all and the cost of human life
But we do,

There is a site somewhere that lists all the stupid scientific papers that link effects like depression or lack of women's rights to human induced climate change and earthquakes are in there.

I don't really take notice only what's on the news, but I do take notice in my own backyard/country, 3 major things happen in our country, long droughts, big floods when the rain does come and bush fires.
The Aboriginals knew how to look after the lands with regular burn off's to control under growth in times of droughts they been doing it for 40 000 years but since white man came along burn off's haven't been done and now they are looking at the old ways to control major bushfire, the Aboriginals were the land carers and we can learn a lot from them.
We live in the driest continent in the world and white man has only been here since 1770 with Cooks arrival and made big mistakes bring the British way of life here.
Aboriginals traditional were handed down for 40000 years we have a lot to learn from them.

Energy Crisis To Cost Germany $1 Trillion — Bloomberg

Germany's government will have to allocate more than $1 trillion by 2030 to deal with the risks and challenges that have arisen due to the energy crisis, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, citing its primary research service.

The enormous costs are expected to include investments in the country’s power grid modernization and a planned phase-out of its nuclear and coal plants. Berlin will reportedly face a growing demand for electric vehicles and heating systems. Moreover, the German authorities are obliged to meet climate commitments.

The increase in power demand by some 30% from the country’s current consumption will take to about 250 gigawatts of the new capacity projected to be installed by 2030, according to data provided by the country’s network regulator and think tank Agora Energiewende, as quoted by Bloomberg.

Germany is just the first to be noticed…. All (or at least most) western countries following the current 2030 agenda / targets are going to be in a similar position. They just don’t realise it (or perhaps they do, but don’t want to admit it) yet.

All western governments are hoping that there’s a major breakthrough in cheap clean energy. And they all know that as it stands they haven’t a hope in hell of delivering on there current promises.

It's a complete emperor's New clothes wokery croc of bull
How long before these people realise how stupid it is to hang so much on some sort of energy breakthrough!
We barely generate enough now in the UK

Funny old world.

The US got fracking for gas and substituted gas for coal, result lower energy costs and less pollution resulting in a large CO2 emissions reduction all while not signed up to COP plus getting full self sufficiency.

Germany went the wind/solar route, then unexplainably closed down its Nuclear plants well away from any earthquake zone because Japan in the middle of an earthquake zone lost a Nuclear plant, all compounded by being reliant on a mad dictator for their Gas. Signed up for COP and led the EU Climate change agenda. Result has been higher energy costs, an increase in pollution and CO2 emissions, as they demolish Wind Farms to make way for open cast mines of Lignite the dirtiest and most polluting form of coal.

Totally agree...and as I say....when ya go woke ya go broke !!
50,000 Germans recently protested in the streets against their government supporting Ukraine and the money they are spending ....while they struggle with the cold & power issues etc and the propaganda to insite more involvement in the current conflict ...the "people" have had enough....

I think Greta needs to head east to protest against these jokers that have signed up to the Paris agreement
Best of British luck to you 🙂

China has the greatest number of coal-fired power stations of any country or territory in the world. As of July 2022, there were 1,118 operational coal power plants on the Chinese Mainland. This was nearly four times the number of such power stations in India, which ranked second.31/01/2023

Just had my latest gas bill!
Good thing I haven't got a dodgy ticker :-)
Two and a half times bigger than the equivalent quarter last year, and I doubt consumption was much different.
Better dig out the long johns......

Just downloaded the bills:
January 2022. Gas charged at 3.862 pence per kw/h
Feb 2023. Gas charged at 9.818 pence per kw/h

A bit more than the 60% rise they (the gas company) warned me of :-(
