the one that got me was the commando goes all the way back to the 70s.
Only a decade out then lol. Speaking in front of cameras is never easy though.
I’d also say the Norton 16H was one of the most important Norton models considering they made nearly 100k of them nearly 1/4 of WW2 production.
For me details like that really matter especially something simple like that you can’t get them wrong when you are a brand manager.
Speaking as someone who’s spent a lot of time in design n branding meetings with blue chip companies.
It’s a shame there wasn’t a concept bike or something on show a few friends have said the Royal Enfield stand was great an I know a few younger riders again that are buying bikes from RE after seeing them at the show.
I’ve actually just sold my Elsie and am selling all my nos parts so was considering after the move to Somerset in the early part of 2025 to look at a new bike so looks like it might be a RE for me. Either the new 650 classic or a 350 bullet.
The new girder flying flea looks interesting but I’m not into electric bikes an interesting way of doing it though.
For now though Guess it’s another year with the 1968 Commando for me next year as she’s nearly done an the side valve singles
