Moving along on my Atlas build I noticed the oil return pipe inside the tank has only one hole in it. Were there any changes made in the oil tanks for the six start pumps and the earlier Dominators?

My '62 build, titled '63, has one hole in the oil return pipe.

Some restriction in the return pipe is necessary to provide adequate top end lubrication.

I have a '66 Atlas and a '67 650SS both have 1 outlet though I believe the Oil Line fittings are larger in diameter but with the same oil tank thread size.

In my limited knowledge, there are a least 2 different oil tanks, the Atlas and other twins from around 63,64 had a oil froth tower on the top of the oil tank, the 6 start oil pump was standard from mid 1966 on, along with a Commando oil feed to the rockers, from timing cover to top of the c/head, where before it came off the T piece on return oil pipe (3 start pump)

The oil junction box had bigger holes along with bigger holes in case next to the oil pump.
