I've taken on the job of assembling a 64 Atlas. The owner got it from the widow of the man who did about 90% of the restoration before passing. It sat for a few years before coming to me and somewhere along the line a lot of hardware has been lost. I'm trying to figure out whats needed to mount the oil tank and tool box. Were any isolation rubbers used under the tank? The mostly useless parts book also lists a spacer on the top mount but no drawings of what it might look like are to be found. I'm also in need of the right hand foot peg lug, the rectangular one the abuts the engine mount plate with the serrations that engage the peg bracket. Also any recommendations on books other than the Haynes manual and the factory parts book? I have a copy of Roy Bacons book on order as well.
Thanks

There is a rubber or neoprene pad that sits on the bottom of the oil tank and the battery box. It is about 3/16" thick. You could easily fabricate one. This pad lies across the battery box and oil tank platform part #19086, and is the only vibration isolator, other than the grommet explained below.

The spacer on the oil tank top mount is Part # 22716 which fits inside Grommet Part # 22715. Bolt #22475 passes thru the spacer. The grommet fits inside the large hole in the oil tank top mount. The spacer simply keeps the mounting bolt from squishing the grommet.

I know of no other books than those you mention.

Thanks..I feel like I'm putting a jigsaw puzzle together without the box lid to know what it looks like and pieces from another puzzle mixed in. It came with several boxes of misc. parts that I'm pretty sure don't belong. Tons of fun!
