"Yes, these were the stock mag wheels for the 2020 model.
Triumph changed the design for 2022 ..."
One of the things I adored about my 2015 961 was the BST wheels I added as an option (which the MCC dealership immediately screwed up on the installation ). So I currently have a set on order for my Thruxton R. Not a fan of tubed tires these days.

The BST wheels on the 961 look great, improve handing, and safety.
I've had inner tube blow outs on laced wheels in the past. At 70mph on the hyway it's no fun, very high pucker factor if it's the front tire.
With mag wheels the tire goes flat slowly, and stays on the wheel. It's a whole lot less exciting/dangerous.

Sweet ! Thanks for posting .

Turning away and pushing open the door, MV owners leave the room :p

Would you buy one again
Lol
Can you be more clear on what you mean?
Mv has more models, are available around the world, I can go buy one now at my local dealer. Andddddd I can get service parts.

I think wot he means is… there are quite a lot of suckers around the world prepared to pay a higher price for something different / appealing / enjoyable to own EVEN THOUGH the spec sheet alone doesn’t justify it.

Hold the door open for me Italia…

But you’re dead right about the dealer network and overall support topic tho Scott, an MV dealer / service centre opened up 15 miles from me and that was a factor in me adding an Italian to the shed.

Life is short Tony…!

I bought this cos the Superlight I ordered clearly ain’t coming anytime soon and I wanted a modern track toy. And I’m glad I bought it cos it’s much better than the Superlight was ever realistically gonna be IMHO! In fact, even if the Superlight does materialise, I doubt I’ll be interested anymore.

Its a 2019 F3 800 RC (Ltd edition job by their ‘race dept’). I bought it with only 1200 miles on it. It really is a very nice little thing. It is road legal (well kinda) but I won’t be doing many road miles on it.

Those RC bikes are AWESOME!
Congratulations.

Very nice, love the dry weight #!
Wish I still could ride something like that. The Daytona 955i is considered a relaxed position "Gentleman's" Sports bike and even that is getting tough to deal with.

Back or wrists?

Yeah, it’s not quite ‘Superlight’ but it is light.

And yeah, the ergonomics is partly why I don’t intended to put high road mileage on it Glen. Although it’s not the most uncomfortable bike in my shed!

Back or wrists?
The wrists and back were fine.
The tough part was getting my lower body scrunched up and locked into position. Once locked in position a change of position isn't possible on that bike.
I last rode it in 2019, on a 400 mile day trip , pre Pandemic. The first bit was uncomfortable, then the body got used to it. I remember thinking " How many more seasons of this will I be able to do?"

Don't know if the body would conform now!

We hate to drop these fun activities, but reality tends to dictate eventually.

For me, it’s my hands when using clip ons. Something about the pressure on my palm heel area causes pins n needles, and then numbness. Numb hands ain’t conducive to safe riding on a motorcycle!

It’s not an issue on the track though.
I see a lot of trophies ! Is that from your racing ?

Exactly my issue. But how come no problem on the track?

Well, first, if only doing short circuit races and / or track days, you’re only on the track for 20 mins ish at a time.

Also, you tend to move around a lot on the bike.

Plus, when ‘pressing on’ like that, your concentration is kinda consumed. Not much left to worry about discomfort.

Its only on the road where you sit for prolonged periods in one position, hardly going fast enough for the wind to take your weight, and thinking about it !
