As is your post. It's taken me months to try to become fluent in the Hobot language, and while I find it a very interesting language, it still often leaves my head spinning.

I think I remember reading in the directions not to do that... foam on one side only for cooling.

Batrider , Rumplemintz (sp.) 100 proof not available up here to my extensive boozy history ,we only drink Jagermeister shots which with the sugar content will cause memory loss similar to Greek Ouzo. Front and central in any hip Toronto bar now. X-mas in full swing here. As for the powerbox I'm thinking you are correct and I will cut away the wrapping and some front and rear dense foam to get a bit of airflow ,electronics do produce heat ,and as we all know too well ,heat is the enemy , (unless December in C.. C.. Canada ?).

Piero, please do not think anyone on this site has been impatient with your English skills. It is just the opposite. Hobot is a very good and very smart guy, but some people here enjoy teasing him. He is also very funny. I'm impressed that you are fluent in 5 languages. I speak only English but am also working on Spanish, but the Spanish is not going well.

Funny thing is, I comprehend Piero's writing much more easily than I do Steve's! Truth is, I've become a big fan of Hobot's writing, but only after I purchased Rosetta Stone's Hobot 3-set DVD series last year.

I find the faster I read hobot, the more I understand. Kind of like skimming through James Joyce, but that may be hard in a non native language.

If I need to comprehend all of hobot and matt Spencer's writings, entertaining as they are, I have an early feed of mushrooms, wait a couple of hours then reread the posts, they all make perfect sense!!! (LOL)

'Thread' or 'threads' usually refers to a 'screw thread' such as UNF, UNC, BSW, BSF, BSC, etc..


Thread can also mean a message 'thread'

In addition to the definition that LAB and DogT gave, a "thread" is also a string of messages on a forum, such as what we are now messaging each other on. English is a very confusing language... especially when you get to the subject of spelling.

hehe, hobot has a hard time reading efficient hoboteae too. Sorry not intentional except on word play sometimes. Lucky to even speak or write - after brain re-wired a few too many times. For some years I've seen others mention if read fast [w/o thinking] it makes better sense. hobot [just a handle not proper name to capitalize] is fair game to tease and abuse on lingo or logic, though past El Carbon-o was pretty nasty to take.

Anyway there can be two reasons for the two allen screws supplied, one- what I assumed - was to be able to fit variations in cam end threads, the other being a stud to tap-rap on to free the tapper shaft friction lock. My Pazion or prior Boyer did not come with an extra bolt to be used for the tap-rap freeing of rotor, so I had to find that one on my own. I keep the cam seal install cone and the tap-rap freeing bolt together in a small jar. Neither me nor my buddy could get the Sure Fire to fire, yet everything on check list checked out. I suspect Trixie is one of the rare cases the Pazion has some fitting issues of rotor spacing to trigger the coils. Pazion reviewed this rare fault finding in an email to me but ain't worn out the points AAU yet to try Pazion again.

hobot/steve, 6" long 1/4 UNF bolt with vice grips at head end , sharp rap with a light enginners hammer, when screwed into AAU points/Pazon rotor , acts as a removal tool and also seconds for a rocker shaft removal tool in the head.

Are you sure the rockers are 1/4 unf? I thought they were CEI and like 5/16? As I remember the big end shell bolt went into them, no? I think the AAU is not UNF too, but I'd like to be enlightened.
