That's very cheap tbh! I assume vat wasn't added then, as it was an overseas sale. So expect another 20% on top for UK purchases.Prices for the clutch components we were discussing, from Gary.
He ordered them whilst doing the Solihull factory visit. Parts took 4-5 weeks to reach Aus.

Have you seen Ducatis brand new single?Personally, I think we will see new ICE bikes from Norton, but perhaps not all of them will be all new.
I‘m certain we’ll see something 400/500cc primarily designed for the Indian / Asian markets and hopefully available elsewhere. This sector is just too big and profitable for them to ignore, just look at Triumph.
I hope they do a new big twin as it would be a basis for an entire range for Norton. But of course, their biggest issue here is competing with Triumph who are just so damned good at this! It’s a big market for sure, but how much of it could Norton carve out? How can they demonstrate enough USP? Gonna be interesting to see.
Trouble is, Triumph (and others) are also working flat out on EVs… and going by their track record, I’m pretty certain that whatever Triumph produce will be pretty bloody good here too !
But… for punters at least, competition is a good thing…
Act now and you can watch a YouTube video to wet your whistle.Reply just now...
Dear Rob,
We're delighted you're interested in purchasing a V4CR. We've been working incredibly hard to create the ultimate incarnation of the café racer and we're looking forward to seeing you ride one.
We're going to be opening orders very soon but we'd ask you if you don't mind waiting that little bit longer. We promise it will be worth it. If you're outside of the UK, we're going to have to ask you to be extra patient - Norton is coming, just not quite yet.
As soon as it's ready, we'll be in touch but in the meantime, we'd invite you to head to our YouTube channel (Norton Motorcycles - YouTube), where you can watch one making the most of the finest roads Wales has to offer.
Best wishes and safe riding,
The Norton Team
So... as the vulture said - how long is "patient"?
Cheers
According to @Clive £2142 earlier this year....It would be interesting if someone could get a price on four rockers, including shafts and shims....to see if they're consistent with their prices
Great 3D video. The engine reminds me of something, but I can't think what.Act now and you can watch a YouTube video to wet your whistle.
What engine are you referring to?Great 3D video. The engine reminds me of something, but I can't think what.
The Ducati single. What engine are you referring to?
That looks great. Imagine the trouble you get into with that bike !Have you seen Ducatis brand new single?
Ahh you originally replied to my wet your whistle comment. Meaning the one Norton told Robs SS to watch. The Ducati single.
Did you get your parts yet?Yep, Joe described activity as ‘bedlam’, so I suspect there is a lot more going on than some here might believe.
The glitch in the online form appears fixed and requests are landing in Joe’s tray again. My request was for a single item, with part number provided - so ‘low hanging fruit’ hence the super quick response I guess.
For greater volumes or more complex components (that may require investigation), then no doubt it will take longer. Production and new bike customers are also gonna take priority.
I don’t know what you’ve requested Stu, but you may have been better separating potentially more ‘difficult’ items from the routine high use stuff - just a thought.
Maximum information on the form guys, part numbers where we have them and make things as easy as possible at that end is gonna work best I think.
C’Mon Voodooo - get those body part requests back in and release those beutiful bikes from quarantine! Let me know when it happens, I’m gonna throw a party to celebrate!
Ah yes sorry.Ahh you originally replied to my wet your whistle comment. Meaning the one Norton told Robs SS to watch.
Ya confused me![]()
This systems been in place since the parts department opened earlier in the year I believe Voodooo. The hiatus of a few months no spares (for the few demanding) I suspect was a combination of the online form glitch, people getting frustrated and using whichever email address they could find and a turnover of staff. Seems to be back in action now.Did you get your parts yet?
You’re at the stage of the process that I was in. Let’s see if they take your money and ship your parts out.
What parts did you request?
No VAT is correct Stu - unless ya get caught by the receiving country’s tax system. Postage looks like it’s gonna be quite heavy though, depending where in the world we’re talking about. Beats paying VAT though! That's very cheap tbh! I assume vat wasn't added then, as it was an overseas sale. So expect another 20% on top for UK purchases.
I think the historical relationship between Triumph and Norton will always see them in competition FE (as a default), but it appears that’s not Norton‘s intended market.Personally, I think we will see new ICE bikes from Norton, but perhaps not all of them will be all new.

What point does it make for Norton to make some lower value - more utilitarian bike for Asia when TVS already makes those?I think the historical relationship between Triumph and Norton will always see them in competition FE (as a default), but it appears that’s not Norton‘s intended market.
As Gladrags has said, they don’t want to be Triumph - read high volume, lower price, overseas manufacture, ‘engineered down’ to that price point. Awesome and successful as these bikes are!
The aim it seems is to stay within the premium/luxury space. Relying on exclusivity - the luxury/prestige (made in UK by hand etc) marque angle, to drive sales. So likely ‘engineered up‘ to a price point that will potentially put them in a different market to Triumph. Hence higher end clothing and Ateliers etc.
Yep - I think most have got reservations about this approach (and some of the terminology used above). It doesn’t really fit with our recollection/version of Norton. That doesn’t mean it won’t be successful of course. Personally, I’m for any approach that sees the marque succeed - after all of the failures. Only time will tell of course.
I agree that they will likely introduce something for the Indian/Asian market (maybe later on) - huge profits to be had. Possibly designed by Birmingham Norton, but maybe built and for sale overseas. Lower value - more utilitarian. Carrying the Norton logo? Who knows.
It’s gonna be interesting though - whichever way Norton go.
You might be conflating different subjects here just a little VoodoooWhat point does it make for Norton to make some lower value - more utilitarian bike for Asia when TVS already makes those?
Yet you say they want to stay luxury. Makes zero sense.
Norton cannot make a lower value bike in the UK and sell it as a cheaper option for Asia market. The cheapest bike they offer is one that cost them hardly anything to make. The 961.
They didn’t design it.
They didn’t engineer it.
It won’t get any cheaper than that. Unless they make one solely at TVS with a Norton logo on it. How British is that? Royal Enfield
