Man, that is very fast! How do you guys do it? I start feeling nervous at around 55 on these Michigan back roads with the open flat lands giving way to high winds. I feel like I'm about to be tossed off the bike. How do you stay on the bike at 83mph?

You are absolutely right. The weather up here in Michigan has been a tease lately with these higher than normal temps, above freezing and on occasion sunny. I wished I would have kept my bike ready to ride and in the garage for some of them. I have the daily rider inside for some minor servicing. The Combat has a few things left before I can consider it road worthy. The least of which is the cap nut for the forks. One of them stripped when I tried to reinstall. I had to order another one and see if I can figure out what's going on. Have any of you guys had to ever re-tap your forks to accept the fork cap nut?

I regularly sit at 80 + on my commando
I do have a small fly screen fitted this takes quite a lot off of at speed

What tyres (tires) are you using? Some brands are much more susceptible to crosswinds and I've noticed that the all round handling of some really go off when the tread gets to 50% or lower (especially Bridgestone).

That is a good run, up to the last week of December.
Indeed. Tomorrow in plus 2 C. , will now spray CorrosionBlock all over the metal surfaces to stop any splashed up salt. I park on the street out front for the winter , double bagged , not out of choice.

I would have it in my living room rather than double bagged on a wintery Toronto street.

You don't want to look out one morning and see this...chain it up to something solid...

Went out to the shop and looked at the bike.
Then I looked at the just opened box on the bench from cNw that contains the electric start conversion package that my bride of 42 years gave me for Xmas.
Then I went back inside, made a rum and hot chocolate and sat down at the big screen to re - watch the various installation videos available.
Archery season ends in a couple weeks at which point I should be ready to get into it.
Helluva' Xmas present.

Landlord saw it inside one winter and said to get it outa here. We are a LEED Certified building , no vehicles allowed.
Buy a broken down horse float and put a wheel clamp on it and park it inside that. With a cover in it, chained to the float, of course.
