What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

I want a modern naked bike.
2 or 3 cylinder.
173kg or 380 pounds or less.
Minimum of 100 hp.

I present to you.
MV Agusta Superveloce

Pretty much meets or exceeds your criteria. It's a vertical twin, although cranked to fire exactly like the larger V-twins. And.....

One just won the Springfield Mile Production Twins race with a stock main frame.

I definitely dig this design, similar hub steering to the Bimota Tesi.
The concept allows for much larger section tire up front than telescopic forks, with superior braking, and still retains quick turn-in.
The handling qualities are modified by changing the mounting points of the push-rods on the swing arm and hub.
Functionally, real cool, slick shit!!! Love it.
Just looks the same coming and going.

Oh look.

Yes. The super duke grabs my attention a lot.

Had it been available at the time, I likely wouldn't have splurged the extra shekels for a 1290. Not that I'm dissatisfied, it just that I ride two-up hardly at all. I probably should have bought a SuperDuke R instead of the GT, but it would have taken a bunch more work and tossed cash to make it a good distance mount. The hard bags etc. were too tempting, but I'm sure there are bags available for the 890 by now. Wind protection, maybe not so much. But much more manageable, weight-wise and size-wise.

A few tracks are less than a hour from me. Problem is, I’m not a motorcycle racer, and the RC is WAY beyond my skill level.
In that case, maybe something a little slower, but with exquisite handling and classic apeal.

Might I point sir towards our Manx Norton department …

Don’t care if it meets the criteria, I want one too!! May have to sell a couple of bikes as well to afford this beauty!

That engine....gasp....that front brake...OMG with that engine.
I can see the tyres are brand new. :)

That's a JMC Norvin. I guess he thought why not make use of the engine as structural member as on a Vincent or Egli.
The trouble is, Norvins have been around longer than Egli's and almost as long as Vincent's themselves. We don't like it when part of the Featherbed frame has gone missing.
So they have added some weight and put the front frame section back in place.
The latest offerings on the JMC website look very nice, if you can get over the gold stuff and the curvy megaphones. I rather like both, must be a deviant! But then my take on the Egli is not very traditional either.

I agree, it looks better with the pipes wrapped around the timing case.
I made this set from 2" ss ubends. The shorty megaphone is a straight thru ss unit from Cone Industries. 2.5" exit hole with some packing around the perforated tube keeps the sound down to a reasonable level.
