What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

I wouldn’t hate one of these parked next to the Norton! It would definitely displace the other bikes - but not the Norton of course!

Literally ‘one lady owner’- what’s the chances!? I choose to believe that Linda is the rider and not selling it for her late husband! Go Linda - those Aussie girls have got style!

What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

I also choose to believe that this is Linda on her new Ducati!

Apparently the Hailwood replica was just too slow:oops:! Oh the pleasures of an idle imagination!

What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

Starting this to take the ‘traffic’ off of other threads.

Ok, to get us started:

Indian FTR: Too heavy? Handling ??

Kawasaki Z900 retro thingy: Seriously? I mean they were called ‘UJMs’ back in the day, in part due to their bland capableness.

Thaiumph Speed Twin: ...

And...
Well the 961s on the naughty step, battery not holding a charge and removing the tank is a pain, old new Triumph is in use for the rest of the month and, although running faultlessly after fitting a new battery, it never excited me hence the fitting of a chair, which I must say is a match made in heaven. So, roll out the Sportster. Another new battery, add fuel, apply choke after a couple of spins without and away she goes. Something visceral about that engine, stirs the soul.

I'm not sure I understood all of that . A chair ? Can you explain ?

Couple wks ago now , one of our local “east coast Ducati club” members wanted to move his ‘07 Ducati S2R1000 monster , I had done some service work for him in past few yrs and knew the low km ride pretty well , he offered a Club price , so I snapped it up … ( back to same predicament I was in this time last year ,with too many bikes in my little shed ( why Commando & Griso are gone ) …. both the Dukes I now ride are very worthy replacements for my Commando , as I have said , better power , better suspenders & superb brakes ! ….. for time being I have both Dukes on the road , the Suzy dr650 is up for sale ….. miss the Norton a fair bit , kinda more like longing for an old friend that’s gone , though not performance related ….. blasphemy I know on here but that is the way it is …..

It is really interesting that Triumph are bringing back production to the UK and same with BSA (or is it Royal Enfield) one of the two anyway. Looks like a real british comeback, hope Norton get ahead of the curve with some new models, some being more affordable.

Not sure that New Norton intentions , maybe targeting the big spenders with their hi-tech jewelry on wheels , or so it appears to me , Everyman was thrown out with the latest load of dirty laundry approach ….

TVS posted a comment on Instagram and said if you want a lower, economically priced Norton, to buy a TVS scooter.

To all.

You have 45k to blow on a new / old bike. What are you buying.

I definitely dig this design, similar hub steering to the Bimota Tesi.
The concept allows for much larger section tire up front than telescopic forks, with superior braking, and still retains quick turn-in.
The handling qualities are modified by changing the mounting points of the push-rods on the swing arm and hub.
Functionally, real cool, slick shit!!! Love it.
Just looks the same coming and going.
