No, the cows aren't home yet, and Tom is going to fool around with that engine until they are so there's no chance of it starting!Spin it up quick enough you might take off

I would be interested in seeing a pic of what this 3D printed socket looks like.I have one made by a friend with a 3D printer. Same thickness as a rotor, same Id as a rotor, has a slot just like a rotor but is a hex on the outside to fit a socket. I use it a lot when building engines. If someone had a fast 3D printer, I bet they could make money making them. It took him hours to print it so it's a one-off.
Make shift Propeller... Like itEngine Rotator

This works very well with a ratchet and socket.I would be interested in seeing a pic of what this 3D printed socket looks like.
I think the easiest way to make one would be to cut down and weld a bad rotor to an old 1/2" drive deep socket.
No, 3D Printed plastic. No taper - the inside is just like a rotor.Looks nice, thanks. Is that made out of metal? Does it have a taper inside.
That is downright Medieval! ;-)View attachment 94284Here is my crankshaft holding tool.
...but, but - surely your torture rack won't work anymore until you put that part back??View attachment 94284Here is my crankshaft holding tool.
Do you still have any for sale? I’m in Portland oregonI just finished 12 more PETCOCK HOLDING TOOLS. They are $25 apiece plus shipping. Do not know if the postal rates for Australia and New Zealand have come back done to Earth yet, they were around $60. Will check on current postal rates for the USA this Monday. I will ship the cheapest route, of course.
Your engine must have a lotta torque!View attachment 94284Here is my crankshaft holding tool.
YES BUT IT WORKS, AND ANYONE CAN MAKE ONE. 2 BITS OF 4 X 2, 2 BOLTS AND A DRILL AND MAYBE A SAW AND CHISEL.That is downright Medieval! ;-)
