Not made but taken from a bearing.
Two ball bearings, about 1/4 inch, used to set carb slide synch.
Didn't you have a tin money box as a child??How do you retrieve them from inside the cylinders ?
That takes balls (pun intended) !I was sceptical myself too at first and would stuff a rag beyond the carb but they have never gone past the spray tube so I don't bother now.
I drilled & tapped the manifolds of my trident years ago as the "Twist drill method" just didn't cut it for meI was told of this method to synch Tridents, which takes a lot longer to get three balls to drop exactly the same time, but can be done on a bench with the carbs and gantry off the bike.
That's what I do on my trident it's been a game changerI drilled & tapped the manifolds of my trident years ago as the "Twist drill method" just didn't cut it for me
then its simple job to use vacuum or mercury manometer to accurately set them
Gene, Great idea. What is the diameter, thread pitch & length of your tool?Recently went to remove an outer primary cover on a recent Mk III purchase. It wouldn't budge, and yes for all the skeptics out there I had all the bolts out. I think they used Yamaha Bond to seal it. I hate to see the big screwdriver marks from either prying or driving into crack. Special tool #199! I knurled the outer edge so I wouldn't be tempted to use a wrench and break outer case or strip threads. A little pressure and a little heat it left loose!

Sabre and I both mentioned this tool back in posts #109 & #114. Capri wrench is also available on Amazon, see post #114. Craftsman also has entire set of these thin wrenches available.
I hope your aluminum creation works better than my steel A.N. one . Just received it in my latest order and the edges were cut so sharp that it ate into the plug slots. Had to bastard file the edges to go in nicely.Made this out of aluminum bar stock for primary drive inspection caps …

Great for removing the “ made of the cheapest material for
Walmart “ stamp on safety critical fasteners …
Yes - that is why I used aluminum.I hope your aluminum creation works better than my steel A.N. one . Just received it in my latest order and the edges were cut so sharp that it ate into the plug slots. Had to bastard file the edges to go in nicely.
