Taylor headsteady - loose frame clamp

The CNW headsteady looks nice and design wise make sense (to me). I got a reasonable deal on the DT item which seems to work though not exactly intuitive when doing the instal. Just done 150 miles with the alu can mod and can report it works pretty good. The left foot peg buzzing I had been getting is all but gone. By the way I am into recycling

The CNW headsteady may be great.

But right now it doesnt exist so kind of hard to buy it. Out of stock on the website last week anyway !

Just wondering,with the DT steady why does it use a clamp when there is an existing frame boss that could have been incorporated in the original design

Good question. Probably to give more ‘one size fits all’ flexibility as there are no holes to line up with ?
