I’ve had these two grandchildren for a little over two years now and recently found out I’ll be getting another but this one will have testosterone instead of estrogen - YES ! A BOY !
Something coming via Stork

Are those two munchkins cute or what?
Congrats RT!
My son badgers me for overindulging his kids...I tell him too bad, his mother and I did all the hard work raising him and his little brother.
This round I say yes as often as I can!
The 2nd photo is a shot of the skeleton they talked me into buying for Halloween. They then put it together, let themselves into the shop and rigged it up on my bike.
No paint was scratched so they are both still alive.

The best (only?) good thing about children is they give you grandchildren. Better still are stepchildren you get as teenagers - no hard work and you still get grandchildren! Once the grandchildren have outgrown interest in spending time with you, they give you great grandchildren!

Of course, you have to pinky swear the little ones to not tell on grandpa to grandma or their parents :)

I moved into my current house in 2000. In Jan 2001 my next-door neighbor put a big wooden stork in the front yard to announce the birth of their son. From about 2-1/2 years old, he hung out with me a lot "helping" me with projects. By the time he was about 5 he was an actual help. I teased him a LOT about being delivered by a stork and his parents knowing the joke didn't contradict me. Finally, his two year older sister who also hung out with me told on me. "Hung out" really was free babysitting but I enjoyed it. Those two are my pseudo grandchildren and are now adults and living in the West but always come see me when in town. They and my step grandsons stay in touch via social media, and they all keep me up to date on each other. Fun to watch babies grow into working adults without having to be a real parent!
