the 20 amp fuse should be fine if it's U.S. spec. I had trouble 1200 kms from home one time and couldn't find a 35 amp fuse so I bought plenty of what ever I could find. I think I am running a 30 amp fuse right now and there doesn't seem to be a problem. The first fuse had been there quite some time and blew just as I got into Karamea. [ a few kms up the road from our next rally. ] You may not find a problem with yours bike. If you don't, I wouldn't be too concerned. Afterall, the bike is 40years old. { I am still running the original electrical gear on both my bikes apart from headlamps.}

I'm thinking I may have been touching lever a bit and operating brake light continuously while riding ... when I checked it, a strong breath would activate light, still should not cause fuse burn ... don't know for sure what the real culprit was ... sure frustrating ... good to go till next time
