Sounds good. A few long days are all good but if you have too many in a row you will find it hard work and won't see much of the country. As I said the South Island tends to be easier. Less traffic and straighter more open roads for more of the time.



This is driving on NZ roads. This is State Highway 2 between my home and Wellington.. The NZ equivalent of the M6 in the UK. Not exactly similar.

Rimutaka Hills Rd is great on a bike in the summer.

The SH1 is more like the M6... at least for half its length. On the North Island. Near Auckland. Lol.

Most of the State Highways in NZ are like SR20.
