Nope, mine and mine!

Why? Why not? Life is too short to only have one Norton.

I do have another Norton project in the garage, but it's not mine. It's a friend's that I'm helping with. It's a 1970 chassis with a 1972 Combat motor. The original plan was to build it as an S-Type replica, with purple metalflake paint. But there is a budget problem, so the parts are just sitting there for now. If it was my project I think I'd build it as a custom street scrambler. That would be cool!

Of course an S-Type would be cool too...

Debby,
I was at the Delaware Valley Norton Riders Gathering of the Nortons last Sunday.
I saw a really cool cafe Norton sorry no pics but the bike is silver and is on there web site.
Just look at 2010 gather pics.
They had a whole group of guys and 1 gal who came dressed in proper attire as rockers w/ face masks and Ace Cafe
leathers. They looked cool. I like the look should bring it back as a fashion.
If I could find the $ and time coinciding w/ one another I'd like to do a rocker bad ass cafe.
Very cool image.

Not sure who mentioned the "Flock of Seagulls" hair cuts but that paint job pre dates them by a decade. I did a model of a '71 Impala in '71 with "California Lace" treatment similar to what's on that bike. Personally, I would not try to remove it, rather just clean it up as "it' is a period peice. I have a"71 Triumph with someones acid inspired pinstriping on the tank. i took it to the "gathering of the Nortons" last week and the general concessus was to leave it alone.
I do think it is an "S" What is it worth? The biggest number that someone is willing to pay for it. Again, is the engine free, title? they all add up to more money.

Best of luck.

Tom
