Hi,

My clutch is slipping so I just stripped it and noticed there is a small amount of oil on the clutch plates (I am running a belt drive) this appears to coming from the gear box, I have recently done a complete rebuild including the gearbox, so would welcome any ideas where to look first?
Cheers

Norvil (UK) also sell a version for pre Commando AMC boxes, which incorporates a longer main shaft nut.

Yes this is my product also. It was designed and made at the request of a guy in the north lakes district. They will likely not be made again once gone as the volume is so low and the 2 pieces are quite expensive to make. It would cost me thou$and$ to make another batch and I would surely be dead before they all sold.

topic reviewed quite well here:
magic gear oil climbs!

Over filled gearbox will also cause that problem, I don't rely on the fill cube for the amount of oil, I use a messure cup and fill to the right fl oz the manual says to use, I found very early the cube for the level does over fill the GB, I also put grease on my clutch rod and since doing this I have had no more problems with GB oil getting into the primary case or clutch, so put the right amount of GB oil in while you wait for the clutch seal.

Your Norton is just checking to see if you are paying attention. +1 for Dynodave’s pushrod seal. Installation was a snap.
