To be fair the letter quoted a price and number for the new rubber - I assumed that it meant buying , not replacing. I will question it first as I am ordering some other items as well .
 
Went to mount the tank using the new strap and rubber, The original parts had been chromed at some point and when I tried to put the long bolt into the trunnion it wouldn't start. My guess is that when the bolt was chromed the threads weren't masked off or dipped into plastic to protect the threads. RGM makes one a bit longer so that will help too. Two steps forward one step back. I will get a new trunnion at the same time.
