Ok thanks, just seeking confirmation on what I've experienced and read in some new high end American sports bike going dual shocks as lighter for same of more stability.
Off road was the first application, d/t longer travel with levers and more fluid capacity for off road cooling needs. Looks cooler and also less inventory to manufacture are the main reasons I've read monos as a fad now. Main deal to me is whether they have innate road handling advantage or not. I've not found any myself nor read of it, other than wild lumping off roading. Mono may have a mass advantage.
Some drive shaft and hydraulic powered bikes need a one sided swing arm, so they make an extra robust un- torsion bar to suit.
