Clearly a poor representation of a Hi-Rider. My 75 MK 111 has 6 in extended forks, a small tear drop gas tank, an over sized centre stand and a 'banana' seat with a high sissy bar. Oversized ape handle bars does not make a Hi-Rider Norton.g
That's only about 50 miles away from me. I could ride down there this weekend and check it out if anyone here is interested in placing a bid.
It comes with the original "sells brochure" and also the original "bill of sell". Surely those documents make it worth the asking price!
Maybe I should list one of my Nortons. If that crusty old thing can bring 100 large, I should be able to get $250K easily. I'll finally be able to buy that vacation condo in the mountains after all!
Look at the clutch cable in the last picture, it doesn't even fit, it's stretched across the yokes. What means bill of sell? Someone kept it? As they say in Minn., Ya sure, cow manure, or in Texas, looks like the S**T is on the inside of the boot. Maybe someone will buy it, sucker born every minute. Still no bid.
Ditto with DogT as far as what it SHOULD look like, confirmed by the sales brochure. The bars shown on it are "similar" but they aren't even the OEM Hi-Rider bars either. I bought a 1974 Hi-Rider from the original owner about 12 years ago, bone stock. So not even the bars on this are OEM HiRider; let alone everything else. Looks pure Roadster to me.
HOWEVER, it is that ultra rare color that I luv, "Fireflake Golden Bronze" !!! 8) I almost went this color when I had Brent
(the "vintage vendor") paint a Roadster set for me, but at the last minute I chickened out and went with "Fireflake Royal Blue". Beautiful too ... but there's something about that "orangeish" color, draws me like a moth to flame ... maybe it is worth a starting bid of $100,000 ?!?!?!
