How did you come by your Forum "handle"?

Yes the Gagiva have legendary good name ! .... you fortunate to have ridden one .... I have never laid eyes on a Elefant in real life , just photos

Mine came from company I used to deliver to when I worked as a London courier, their logo was the word STORM with a lightning bolt through the O, I just liked the look of it and later when I used to build computers I used it with 42 added to the end as my trade name. The 42 came from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy because it is the answer to the question "what is the meaning of life?".

My surname is Waring, when I were a lad there was a Rugby commentator (and ‘It’s a Knockout’ remember that rubbish?) who’s name was Eddie Waring. So, obviously, I got called Eddie and it kinda stuck.

Ah gee, all this time
I thought you were the guitar player in Motorhead !

He made so many great movies... The hustler, cool hand luke, the color of money. I particularly liked, absense of malice. I don't think he was much of motorcycle guy, but he did love racing cars.

I've had this name on ebay for a long time. It's also a login name I've used on other sites. This is probably the only site that thinks the name refers to motorcycles. Most of the other sites think it refers to norton antivirus products... kinda funny

Truly there's only one 'Norton' which carries meaning. As only one Paul Newman, so it's obvious 'most sites are uninformed.

Just thought I'd call myself Petersen since there was a picture of that Petersen-fella to the left...

Ashman is one of my nick names because my name is Ashley so ashman is a what a lot of my mates call me but also having red hair I also get called redman and my last name is Price I also get called Pricey, but working at my last job for over 31 years it was always ashman, so the name sticks lol.

Ashley

My name is Nicholas I get called baz because that was our nickname for people that rode fully faired BMWs or Honda goldwings with matching leathers etc (baz bikers)
And we were riding triumph chops etc at that time
One weekend my mates decided to get as dirty as they could then head to our local pub where we always met up , the landlord always commented on how dirty we were anyway but he liked the money we put over the bar!!
We met at my mates flat and they were cracking eggs on each other , throwing coffee on each other including the jar of granules it was out of control
I kept out of it and they called me a "baz" biker
This was about 1978 and it's stuck ever since

Didn’t Fast E. Felsen exel at 9 ball ? Prolly mis-remembered as long time since I watched that flick ....

Also tanks for the like! Baz , maybe my best post ever , haha ! .... didn’t realize you could look at locked threads .... cool , eh ?

I way over restored a 1961 Eska outboard motor. Electronic ignition, Honda Cub 50 carb, every nut and bolt replaced by polished stainless, prop highly polished, aluminum lower unit also polished up like a mirror, and a full on custom paint job on the tank. Nicknamed it "the Jackalope". I even made a custom blue velvet lined walnut carrying case for it. A lot of time, money, and energy spent on a totally stupid motor but boy howdy was she a looker.

I didn't realize it either until yesterday cheers

XTINCT should be self explanatory when referring to a Norton motorcycle.

Way back when the abacus was invented, I needed to come up with a user name. Because I had ridden my '73 Norton to school that day, and it was sitting just outside the window, I used norton73.

It's my user name on a bunch of forums.
