URGENT -- PLEASE HELP ME TO SAVE DOCTOR SHIVER'S LIFE! Is there anybody out there willing to do that? (By helping him, it will not cost you one penny.) *** Dr. Shiver's situation is dire. It is a matter of life and death. And it is the 11th hour. *** I am his attorney-in-fact (albeit retired and without a staff to assist me). What is needed is just one email to the Division Chief of the Arkansas Dept of Human Services, requesting her to NOT close his application for Medicaid assistance over an unfair, unjust reason that the Dept will not give me the chance to challenge. *** If his case is closed THIS WEEK, Dr. Shiver will NOT receive critical medical care and medications necessary for his continued survival. *** HERE ARE THE FACTS: At the end of August, Dr. Shiver suffered a massive heart attack. He was rushed to a local hospital and put into the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The chief cardiologist determined that: 1. he suffered a heart attack that reduced his 'heart capacity to below 15%'; 2. he was drowning in his own body fluids because his heart could not push the fluids out of his lungs; 3. he had blood clots in the stump of his amputated leg that caused the heart attack. 4. he was extremely emaciated, weighing only 112 lbs (and he is 6-ft 2-in tall). Instead of attempting surgery or invasive treatment, the hospital sent him to a nursing home as an 'end-of-life' hospice patient ... BECAUSE Shiver was UNDERINSURED and could not afford the ungodly cost of substantial medical intervention. *** You see, I am confident that Shiver is 'savable' with proper treatment. His critical medications were stopped last week due to inability to pay for such. The man is dying faster now. Additionally, the nursing home costs $8,800 monthly for 'private pay', which he can no longer afford; therefore, he is being discharged from the nursing home to go somewhere that God only knows. *** I filed a Medicaid application for the purpose of securing payment for proper medical care, his vital medications, and nursing home bill. The Government WRONGLY DENIED that MEDICAID application. The Government is NOT giving me the opportunity to challenge that WRONGFUL DENIAL within the timeframe needed to save his life. I need to file a civil rights action in Federal District Court, but that takes more time than Shiver has got left right now. THAT'S WHY I NEED YOUR HELP. *** A HIGH-RANKING Government official is involved. I REQUEST YOU TO SEND AN EMAIL TO THAT OFFICIAL AND ASK HER TO REVIEW SHIVER'S CASE BEFORE CLOSING IT.
