Head Steady Install Question

Dr. Bauer was the Managing Director at Norton-Villiers with overall reponsibillity for the design of the Commando, later for the AJS Stormer and for the wide range of Villiers engies. His Ph.D was in Combustion Chemistry and he'd been in the upper echelons of the Rolls-Royce gas turbine division for many years before moving to N-V. I believe he was specifically recruited by Dennis Poore.

The overall idea of the Commando, specifically the elimination of engine vibration in the frame, was Dr. Bauer's, but the design of frame structure, engine/rear suspension sub-frame and the isolastics, was done by N-V engineers working under Bob Trigg.

I'm interested to hear if the head steady affects the vibration felt by the rider, since it appeared quite some time after I emigrated and I've never ridden any production Commandos.
