Wasn't a "tip" to making car exhausts rot less quick back in the day to drill a small hole in the bottom of the silencer to drain any condensation? Saying that, they'd probably outlast the car if you did.

They all come with a drain, as far back as I remember.

Today, Mummy, I learnt that E type Jaguars have three windscreen wipers, but more tragically... There's nowhere to put a sunroof on a GT40!!
So that's that idea out the window!
