sandy denny folk singer. best writer of 20th century. Robert Zimmerman! no question. greatest rock vocalist. steve Marriott. best rock band. zeppelin, can't see an argument against that one. so innovative . bohnam and jones? glam rock. marc bolan

I'll go with all of those, Stan Webb's chicken shack, bad company, free, the list is endless. Oh and a bit of deep purple. Them were the days when I had hair to shake about.

Don Henley , John Prine, Robert Cray and Michael Hurley( unique and under appreciated).

I have plenty of sandy Denny and what's left of fairport convention are still doing their annual reunion up the road in cropredy. Pegg'y used to live in the village. Bless her what a voice.

Paul Rodgers was/is great vocalist , always liked E-Street Band , Clapton , Neil Young , Dylan for sure ... and of course J. Joplin ...
e street band was nils Lofgren an absolute master, ditto the eagles with joe walsh

Sabbath over Zeppelin everyday of the week, sorry Freddie.
Rod Stewart can do no wrong.
Hank WIlliams, Jerry J. Walker, BIlly Joe Shaver.
The Replacements, Modern Lovers.
NYC Punk, English punk was just O.K.

Of course, many others.

took rod stewart and Ronnie wood to replace Marriott. never managed it. didn't have any where near the vocal range. sabbath are, were a brilliant band. musical diversity over zeppelin? never. patti smith and the like weren't even referred to as punks until the pistols et al.
