Wondering what you did to get the Monza cap tight.
I wanted the cap straight in riding direction and glued it to the tank, but wasn't tight. Saw that you mounted the cap crosswise...

Mine is just mounted in the orientation that provides the best seal and then rotated to the closest increment of 90 degrees if that makes sense. Screwing it on to tight makes it as prone to leak as not doing it up tight enough. But it was only an issue when the tank is filled to the top.
Raphi said:Lately, I did seal the little vent hole in the Monza cap and now there is no more spilling of fuel anymore even if tank is filled up to the top: 17 litres +
Have fun, Raphi
There is a tube for ventilation inside the tank...Fast Eddie said:Raphi said:Lately, I did seal the little vent hole in the Monza cap and now there is no more spilling of fuel anymore even if tank is filled up to the top: 17 litres +

Isn't the vent needed in order to allow fuel to egress the tank?

The Monza cap is not from Norton, other bikes/tanks might need the hole...Fast Eddie said:Raphi said:There is a tube for ventilation inside the tank...
Gotcha.
Then what was the hole in the cap for?
