Bit of a mystery. Show as a ‘special’ made for Norton on the Hedon site - no prices that I can find.

Appear on promotional clips on the Norton site but again, no sales detail provided. A quick call to Hedon, a dealer or Norton direct should reveal what’s going on.

Their helmets have a ‘special’ price tag as well!!! Look very high quality though. Bought a full carbon smart helmet last year, containing all the usual tech, for way less than one of these puppies - it’s horses for courses of course! Designed for the V4 I believe, so if you can afford the bike ……….!

It is a genuine MCT built Norton 961 engine. As far as correct , there are differences between this and a current 961 engine. The MCT will have cast iron lined cylinders , not Nikasil , a reverse pattern gear shift , a billet clutch basket and there is no level plug for the transmission. I am hoping to use this engine for spare parts. For example the crankshaft and rods assembly , camshaft , lifters , push rods , transmission parts etc. Whatever I can use when I need it !

And I am surprised if nobody else has purchased one !
 
The ‘How Many Left’ site is useful, if somewhat flawed. It was due an update a month ago, to include Q3 2024 - that has’nt occured.

Hopefully the author/creator will update at some stage of the game.

A pretty good review overall. I have seen many of his videos on You tube and he always seems to give an unbiased view ...............for a Tyke , pity he lives on the wrong side of the Pennines though.😄

I emailed Hedon but they don't appear to have much of a clue. They first responded on 30th Jan saying that they would find out from the "relevant team". Nine days later they followed up with:

"The helmet you are looking for is exclusively available through Norton’s website. Unfortunately, we do not carry this model directly, but you should be able to find it there. We recommend checking their site for the most up-to-date availability and purchasing options."

I couldn't see any helmets on the Norton web site.

Yep, no real indication what has occured with these Hedon helmets Comet. A quick call to Norton direct should solve it.

The sales enquiries number seems the best bet.

I would have gone with Davida as they were also made in the UK and I'd had a couple done to my own spec. Unfortunately they have moved their manufacturing to China and I guess that means they don't do bespoke any more.
