Not yet.
I actually sat on a bike at a dealer that had a set fitted.
A Ducati Supersport 1000DS, and they really made a huge difference over the stock clip-ons.
They were the Multiclip version with 70mm extendable rise.
Beautifully made, and strong. No slop or movement in them.
The only thing that put me off was the need to extend the electric control, and hydraulic lines.
Got really lazy lately, and didn't want to spin any wrenches.
I think for me, I would only need about 1.5" (38mm) rise to make the CR riding position acceptable.
That would be smack in the middle of the adjustable range, and would preserve most of the Cafe appearance.
May be a spring 2025 tune-up item. Might take it to a shop.
But, definitely an improvement for a Geezer with a CR.:p
No doubt BT. Lovin’ riding my CR for a few of hours - thereafter the enjoyment dwindles as it becomes more uncomfortable. Especially if I’m not riding at speed. Traffic can be a bit of a mare!

Good point about the electrics for the controls - had’nt thought that they might need extending also. The braided hoses are a given.

Definitely going to give it a go in due course. Reckon I’ll ride the Norton a whole lot more when it’s done.

Cheers👍

Daft comparison but worth a quick look. V4SV looks ‘the business’ in JPS colours.

Would truly love to have ridden one of these back in the day!!

Wonder if anybody ever contacted our Kiwi Cousins @ landonmotorsport@xtr.co.nz.

Wouldn’t mind 100-125hp at the rear wheel “without sacrificing reliability”🤣! I only laugh, as I hesitate putting a 17T front sprocket on my CR due to the additional stress/load it may apply!!

No doubt ya can squeeze more berries outa this baby, if ya throw enough wonga at it!!

The article must be 10 or so years old? The bike was ridden hard when i saw it around that time but don't know if it is still being raced, i don't often get to race meetings. I did hear that a balance shaft had let go at one point. which would have been messy.
I did speak to Landon's a few years ago, thinking of having them give my engine a once over but in the end went down the diy route.

Yep, older article. Would be interesting to know if anyone ever purchased the camshaft and piston kit though; never heard tell of anyone fitting it. Seems an odd kit to develop for such a low volume machine. Would love to have ridden it though!

115 hp at the rear wheel "without sacrificing reliability or rideability." I'd have to take that with a huge grain of salt.
However, it would be good to see what numbers it puts down on a dyno.
Matt Capri was working on a hotted up version for the 961 back in 2014 which included a ported head, big valves, big bore, cams, etc.
He said he thought 110 hp was attainable. Don't know if he meant at the crank or the rear wheel.
South bay Norton went bankrupt in 2016, so no kit ever materialized.
Still like the idea of a supercharger instead of all the internal engine work.😜

They were paid to develop the bike for racing so i suspect the kit came out of that process, rather than just marketing a kit.
When i spoke with them they were a bit hazy on what had been done to the race bike so if any were sold it would have been some time ago.
I agree a ride of the modified bike would be interesting.

Hello , I have tried to come up with contact information and reach out to them . I have not made any progress , and can't find an email . Do you know any NZ residents that might know how to contact these people ? I would be interested in speaking with them about their progress . Maybe reach out to iwilson ?

Subject was discussed briefly here - thought I remembered it; not totally senile (yet)! although well on the way clearly 🫨 !

Can’t see there being much interest in these but hey, ya never know. Always good when aftermarket firms look at the 961 of course. Black or clear options.
