We are a minority in the big picture; so we must stick together and watch out for our own. When I read your post, I offered a prayer for your victory over your illness and a complete recovery. Thank you for your contribution to the sport and the brotherhood of motorcyclists.

Remember John, a positive attitude is a must for physical recovery. If you give up , so will your body.

John like so many others have expressed I'm so sorry to hear this news.
Although most of us on this forum will never meet we are friends who wish each other nothing but the best.
Bob

Hello John,
I have read and enjoyed many of your comments on this forum over time.
You are a very brave person and long may you be so.
Best wishes,
Paul.

Lets hope the end of the road is farther away than you expected.

Best wishes - Norm

John - I am gutted to hear this news. You told me you were not well earlier in the year when we spoke and I had hoped that you would be in recovery.

Thank you for contributing so much to many Norton owners with a quality product at a reasonable price. You can be proud to have achieved this.

The most important thing for you is to rest and be looked after and let someone else do what they can to meet orders.

I wish you the very best and you are in my prayers,

Dave

John, the same thing did carry off my Dad some 5 years ago, BUT;

Soon after my mother was diagnosed with Lymphoma (C of the lymph system)

I researched a fair bit and came across the work of Johanna Budwig (she was an accomplished Boichemist and Pharmacist). It centres on the function of the body at a cellular level and .

However lets put the theory aside for a minute, especially as I have no real understanding of it!

My mum had radio for the tumour, which cured the immediate problem. I could not get her to follow the full Budwig diet, but she would eat flapjacks made from cold pressed flax oil

At the same time she had a growing problem with warts on her hands, which the doctor said she would have to live as she was 80 and her immune system was getting too old to deal properly with them.

After less than two months the warts had mysteriously all cleared up. She is now 84 and clear of the lymphoma, to the point that if it were to reoccurre it would be classed as an entirely new instance.

Second data point: My 6yo daughter developed a verruca on the foot, which I treated with conventional methods recommended by the nurse. After some months I took her to a chiropodist who told me they are caused by the Human Pappiloma virus and it was just a waiting game as to when her immune system would formulate a reponse that would work. Again she would not accept too much from the Budwig diet, but I got her on the flapjacks (or flaxjacks) about three weeks ago , and this morning after a long bath the verucca came loose and fell off, leaving a 5mm round and 1mm deep cavity with clear new skin growing behind. We were told to expect anything up to a year to get to this point.

I have no doubt that Flax oil boosts the immune system. Two cases in my family has to be more than coincidence. It may be capable of much more.

Personally I take the oil mixed with Quark, it makes a refreshing dessert once a week. Quark is NOT the same as cottage cheese.

I really recommend the recommenadations that arise from Budwigs work ,. I know your condition is serious, but who knows , my pnilosophy is - you are what you eat. Please read up on it and consider giving it a go.

When faced with doom, any ray of sunshine is welcomed and if I was faced with the same odds, I would (probably) try anything to stay on this earth as long as I could. I for one don't beleive the answer to getting rid of cancer cells is done through what you eat, I may be wrong, but that is what *I* think. According to what I have read, he most promising cure appears to come from viruses, cancer cells do not have any way to trigger the immune system, otherwise they would wipe themselves out and never grow inside our bodies. So far a few miracle cures have been reported where the patient has been given viruses (mostly AIDS derived, but sometimes spontanously with other major viruses)

Statisticaly, not many cancers can be cured, there are always exceptions, but the numbers do speak for themselves. We as human beings have advanced life expectancy by decades in the last century, many of the deseases that are killing us now were not around just a few generations ago because we never lived long enough to develop them. Our environment has also become somewhat more difficult to live in, but I won't go there.

I'm 66, and every day I am glad to be around my family, I know I won't be around forever so I try to help others as much as I can, starting with my daughters. My brother was diagnosed with colon cancer last may, he has methastases (is that an english word??) on his liver and he has been given about two years to live as long as he does chemo. Can't change the past but I am doing my best to help him and to be with him as much as I can. He was the one who got me into motorcycles and this is the first summer we have taken rides together, we will do it as often as possible while he is able to do it.

Sorry to ramble on...

John, you have touched many people all over the world with your products and your knowlege, you have done more than many people.

Its interesting, we will discuss in excruciating detail which oil is the best for our bikes, which brand of plugs or tyres are superior and if our bike starts running rough we waste no time in playing with fuelling, gasoline brand , timing until we get back to sweet running.

Meantime we take our body for granted and fill it with refined sugars, bleached flour and partially hydrogenated fats that are the equivalent of running your bike on sae140. We work too hard, skimp on sleep, drink too much and dont get enough exercise. Then we wonder when our body starts to protest and at the mention of the C word we eother ignore till too late or lay down and give up.

Question - Would you treat your bike like that?

If I hadn't got stuck in my mother would not be alive today.

Of course not all cancers can be cured or even avoided, just as all heart attacks can't be avoided. However we can do much to ensure that we mitigate the circumstances by giving our body the tools it needs to maximise its own powers. Excercise, healthy eating, sunshine, fresh air, positive mental attitude are all paramount here.

Sorry to bang on, but it is much more important an issue than anything bike related on here.

John,Sorry to hear of your cancer. I didn't do chemo after my surgery. I started Tai Chi to help recovery and did nutrition and a variation of Hoxey's herbal chemo treatment and now mushroom tincture. Many other things out there to try; I hadn't heard of Budwig before. Best wishes. Rick- 11 yrs cancer-free
Hope to get my C'do back on the road & would like to upgrade to forks.

John Robert, thank you for your openness about your illness. You have my full sympathy.
There are new promising treatments of cancer by encapsulating cancer cells - perhaps you can benefit from such a treatment.
I will include you in my prayers.

Knut

So sorry to hear this John, don't know what to say, my thoughts are with you.

Hi John, I'm very sorry to hear your news. I don't really know what I can say that wouldn't sound crass. Thanks for letting us know, it can't be easy to write this.

Reggie aka Martin.

Mr. Bould,

Yesterday I attempted to send you a private message to the e-mail address listed on your website. The message bounced back to me because the inbox for that e-mail address is full.

I've resent the message through the Access Norton website, so hopefully you're using a different e-mail address for your membership here. There was a file attachment to accompany the message, though, which could not be sent through the Access Norton mail system.

Write me directly at the e-mail address in my message if you would like to receive the attachment. If you don't receive the message at all, then write me directly at iosis.records@gmail.com.

Best Wishes,

Robert Allan

John, so sorry to hear your news. Like others have said we are here if you need us.

Having watched my dad go thru the whole cancer thing, he beat it 4 times, still going strong.

Get second and 3rd opinions, they are doing amazing things these days. Stay strong and keep fighting!
Hi there John, I would just like to echo what bwolfie says here, and add that my pops beat renal cancer, I understand it is a different animal than what your facing, but there are amazing advances happening these days. Do your best and live like the strong forker you are  you have helped a bunch of guys on here with their bikes and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Cj

Thanks for all the support, just had a blood transfusion ,4 bags felt good for a day or two....then told i have a bug! E-coli ! Shit what's next?

Keep up the fight.

I too, am a proponent of nutrition. A doctor or biochemist won the Nobel Prize way back in the 20's for showing cancer cells could not live in an alkaline environment (pH > 7.0) This has been largely ignored by western medicine. Look into an alkaline diet. Also, cancer prefers poorly oxygenated cells, thus oxygen may help.

For general immune system support, I apply two drops of Lugol's 5% iodine solution to my skin each day. It is very scientific .... iodine goes to the thyroid gland, the entire blood volume passes thru the thyroid every 20 minutes, and as we all know, iodine is an antiseptic. Getting iodine from iodized salt is contra-indicated ..... the chlorine pushes out the iodine as does fluorine (in water), and bromine (in bread flour). Except for one time when I ran out of Lugol's, while on a two week road trip, I have not had a cold or flu in over 20 years.

Prayers are with you.

Slick

Hi John.
Haven't gotten to the top speed test you were asking for. Still doing the break in and haven't opened it right up yet, (probably never will in lower gears) but here is a little clip of the Project bike with big engine installed.
Thought you might enjoy it.
Keep on slugging.
