"...The worst experience that I have ever had in motorcycling concerns the purchase of one of Tom Drouins 1 - 2 hours installation, bolt-on superchargers for my `72 Norton Roadster...What I received from Tom Drouin was a bunch of nicely cast parts with an unbalanced impeller & not the 1st bit of instructions or nuts & bolts for assembly. All Tom Drouin is interested in is the customers bucks, after he receives your coins he wants nothing else to do with you..
...After purchasing all the nuts, bolts & making gaskets for the unit to prevent the metal to metal contact I was getting on assembly , & paying an additional $40- for a balanced impeller, I installed the unit on my Norton....8 months after receipt ...
The charger did run, it turned a a fairly quick stock Norton into such a fire-breather that the local mopeds could out-run it.
I adjusted the needle & belts `til I was blue in the face, nothing could make the charger work...I had to fabricate a drain off for the gas that constantly dripped out of the unit...It was at this stage that I gave up...I am not too good at fabricating needles for slide injectors...Anyone interested in my supercharger, just make an offer, it is in much better condition than when I received it. Drouin Mfg Co. is the biggest rip off...I do not have any correspondence from Drouin, since after he got my money for the unit he no longer wished to communicate on the matter.
