Awesome! another one has risen from the dust... Thank you for saving this beauty

Great job acadian! Nice to see restorations done with alot of finesse, not cheap but definately worth the time and effort!!

Hi Acadian,

The VIN would verify, but this isn't a '71 spec. It's either '69 or '70. Mufflers, oil tank, triple clamps, right side cover and chainguard are giveaways. Very nice rebuild! :)

Well done, nice detail.

I am making a '72 into a fastback and 'am having trouble with the seat. I purchased on from a vendor and the fit is poor, yours looks very right; can you tell me how you did your seat or whom it purchsed it from?

RS

RoadScholar,

The only Fastback seats that I have found to fit reasonably well are original seat pans and those from RK Leighton.
broken link removed

Most other reproduction require some work to get them to fit and then they just don't look like the originals. I have tried several.

Doesn't really matter as none of those years had a disc brake or used the "S" headlight halo. But that's one of the great thing about Commando's. Lots of mix/match of factory parts to build a unique ride that is still Norton!

I like it!

Definitely a contender for the 2010 "most improved" award!

I like it in white, too...
