Can you still get a fork brace for Commando?

That is the exact reply I got from Hyde a few months ago. I got lucky and found a new one from Clubman Racing, but I'm pretty sure i got the last one. I saw a used one on ebay go for $35 more than what I paid for a brand new one a couple of weeks ago.
Just start making some calls and see if any of the Brit shops still have one kicking around on the shelves.

mgrant and L.A.B., I'm not getting the photos when I view the posts and I would love to see any you have since I just picked up a Hyde brace for my '73 Interstate. I would sure appreciate any of those photos emailed to me at jimhearn1@comcast.net. I am debating whether to remove the Hyde name as mgrant did or not so the photos of it removed would help greatly. Does anyone have any thought on whether or not the name should be removed?

When you see the brace it will be very easy to visualize what it would be like without the Hyde name on it. I chose to remove it because I felt that the design and the machining of the brace is really quite elegant and the big HYDE letters just detracted from the visual impact of the unit. Basically, your eyes go to the letters rather than to take in the beauty of the entire unit. I really like machined, polished metal so for me "beauty" is the right word. Just my opinion.

L.A.B. thanks for the help with the photos. mgrant, I'll have to echo a few others - that is a beautiful bike. I see exactly what you are saying; the brace looks great like you have it without the name.

My question is with the seals being located in the Hyde seal extensions. What is holding them in besides gravity and a bit of pressure? My Norton seals don't want to fit into thee xtensions but a set of leakproof seals fit just fine. It seems nothing is holding the seals in as the brace once installed is positioned above the seal and the seal seems it may lift out of place.
In mgrant's pictures above, I can't seem to see the o-rings located between the Hyde seal extensions and the Norton lower fork legs. Do the o-rings get compressed that much or are they missing in the pics above?
