Well done, Jean! Beautiful looking bike so uncluttered with non essentials. An engineering masterpiece you should be rightly proud of packed with interesting details. It's been great watching it all come together.

It looks so simple. If I hadn't watched the project proceed, I'd say something was missing. Just curious, what is the dry and wet weight. I would love to feel those rear shocks into, around, and out of a long tight corner.

Looks great, but I think I would have polished the tank rather than painted, but obviously down to personal choice entirely.

How does one go about polishing a fiberglass tank?

Sorry the nannies turned you down, Jean.

Hope you can hustle and get that temporary fix done in time...

I will do it before the end of summer, but not in time for the rally next week. I will bring it there, but I will only ride it around the compound, not on the roads.

Jean, what color scheme are you thinking?
Fantastic of you to allow us all to follow along!

I will have it done in red, everything that is now white will be that color. As for the flashers, the bike must have them if they were on when new so a 1969 would not need any, but a 1974 would, then there was the rules which had specifics such as a minimum of 3½ square inches for the flashers, amber in color, clear will not work. The rear lens needs to be red, not clear...

I just say Kenny Cummings on tv for an ad for the new season of Cafe Racer. Will we see this bike on an episode?

Well done Jean, looks good. Wonder what you think of the Grimeca in comparison to other front brakes?

Seems a shame to do all that work and then risk fitting a tank which might fail at any time...............I was sure it would be a painted alloy tank!

Maybe you should do it different colors and take a vote. I am not dead set on red and virtual paint jobs are much easier than real ones without mentionning the low cost of doing it with ones and zeros

As to the Grimeca, so far it is just as good as a disk. i really like that big drum for looks.

Carbonfiber, what can I say...

A white base is easily the hardest to recolor digitally. And red is one of the harder colors to reproduce. Some of the red paint job that folks have look very spectacular.

With this bike I would think you would want a color that compliments the bike and all of the details you applied. Red almost competes. Something like silver or a nice pearl may compliment the bike better.

My daughter agrees, silver would look good. Can you photoshop it silver so I can get a feeling on the look. The Norton logo would be black to stand out ?

It sure looks lovely and they seem to work fine , but keep an eye on the inner steel liner as a few are known to come loose
Adrian Deadman had one on his outfit coming undone and it spun round in its casting, together with teh shoes
I am not saying it is common , and a racing outfit is a lot heavier than a solo but i would keep an eye on it just the same

Lovely bike , but that has been said before
