Oh ok that's the most likely kind of brace to get to work as expected. It has some appeal to me as a 3rd hard point to mount deer-dog-goat guard on.

That's funny :D

I got the Landsdowne dampers from John for internals...everything inside is new. New tubes, springs, seals, both steel and bronze bushings. The only thing I kept were the sliders. Polished them and the whole front end looks new :D I wanted to have the best ride I could get. I'm rebuilding the Lockheed caliper and putting new disk and pads on there too. Even with the mods I'm doing I still like the look of the stock caliper. With the smaller master cylinder (from 2013 Bonneville), I think I have the bases covered for now to get good braking. Got a new stainless fender from Norvil and the billet yokes from NYC Norton so the front end is a thing of beauty so far :D

ok you are having propper fun with your Commando, but might consider poking way open the tiny restristor hole in rubber valve end for more definitive Lockheed master cylinder effect on grip. Pretty soon as winter comes might be asking about best oil to use.

I have the right hand switch gear from a 2013 Bonneville America. The master cylinder is smaller diameter so that issue should be taken care of.
