961 ECU Support

In that case they also need the the larger harness main ECU plug and a good accurate electrical schematic. Norton sure added a bunch of other stuff to the tip over circuit and that cut-out relay when they went back to the OMEX . I hope they've got everything they need now to move forward. Norton claimed it was due to EURO 4 requirements I thought they said.

This PDF is what I have from the SC to OMEX conversion that Norton Dealers were doing. There is a lot of information here.

When the SC ECU was introduced we brought the tilt and neutral switch functionality in to the ECU to save Norton the cost of the extra module. When they went back to Omex, they needed to bring back the module (and the extra power hold relay). This was for the EU3 bikes that used the Omex 630 ECU with 36 pin connector.

For EU4 they introduced a new Omex ECU (that we hadn’t seen until yesterday) with a 40 pin connector. This included all the tilt/neutral switch functionality that they didn’t support previously.

We believe we have covered all the options with the Delta 400 ECU which can replace the SC ECU directly. The pre-EU3 Omex, EU3 Omex and EU4 Omex can be swapped out with an adapter harness so that we have a solution for all owners with OBD diagnostics that can also be live mapped if required.

Hello Matt,
Is the Delta 400 ECU is ready for direct swapped with the EU4 Omex OBD2 with an adapter harness?
Thank you!

You or the dyno tuner will use the SXTune software to access the different parameters. SCS Delta have a map which may be better than what you have currently. Everything can be adjusted including the spark advance . I was unable to find a shop that would work with SXTune , so I opted for the Dynojet PCV piggy backed to my fuel injectors.

Thanks G!

So the Euro 4 doesn’t have a serial? It can be connected only through the OBD2?

And if replacing the Euro 4 OMEX with the DELTA 400 ECU, will it be possible to tune EVERYTHING on the bike like exhausts on the Dyno?
I didn’t have an Omex, I had a factory SCS so I haven’t used the adapter harness - and can’t comment. Mines also not a dominator.

The unit comes with an ODB to usb connector.

It’s a fully tunable ECU.

I hope someone can reply on the OMEX Euro 4 ECU...
